THE EXALTATION OF THE HOLY CROSS | SEPTEMBER 14

On September 14, the Church celebrates the Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross, honoring the Cross of Christ as the great sign of God’s love and our salvation. The Cross reminds us that Jesus willingly gave Himself for humanity. What once represented suffering and death became, through Christ, a symbol of hope, redemption, and victory over sin and death.

As we celebrate this feast, may we remember that following Christ also means carrying our own crosses with faith, courage, and perseverance. In moments of difficulty, may the Cross remind us that God’s love remains with us, even in our struggles.

May we always look to the Cross with faith and gratitude, remembering the sacrifice of Christ and the hope it brings to the world.

“We adore You, O Christ, and we bless You, because by Your Holy Cross, You have redeemed the world.”

SOLEMNITY OF THE NATIVITY OF THE BLESSED VIRGIN MARY | SEPTEMBER 8

On September 8, the Church celebrates the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, commemorating the birth of the Virgin Mary, the Mother of Jesus, Mother Mary’s birth is significant because her life would become part of God’s plan of salvation. Through her faith, humility, and complete trust in God, Mary accepted her vocation to become the Mother of Christ.

As we celebrate her Nativity, may we be reminded that every life has a purpose and that true greatness can be found in saying “yes” to God through faith and service. May Mary, our Mother, continue to guide us closer to her Son, Jesus.
