𝑫𝑨𝑽𝑨𝑶 𝑪𝑰𝑻𝒀 — 𝑺𝒆𝒑𝒕𝒆𝒎𝒃𝒆𝒓 19, 2026 — Dreams turned into achievements as young journalists from Buhangin Central Elementary School SPED Center (BCES-SPED Center) showcased their writing, creativity, and broadcasting skills during the Division Schools Press Conference (DSPC) Awarding Ceremony held at Daniel R. Aguinaldo National High School.

With pens as their tools, ideas as their strength, and teamwork as their foundation, the school’s young journalists earned remarkable achievements in both individual and group events.

In the individual events, five talented journalists brought honor to BCES-SPED Center through their impressive performances.

𝐃𝐀𝐕𝐀𝐎 𝐂𝐈𝐓𝐘 — 𝐒𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟏𝟖, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 — With a heart full of creativity and a passion for making a difference, Joshua Allen S. Cosare of Buhangin Central Elementary School-SPED Center proudly represented his school in the Regional On-the-Spot Poster Making Contest held at the Department of Agriculture Regional Field Office XI, Bago Oshiro, Tugbok District, Davao City.

Guided by his coach, Alan Apple C. Cosare, Joshua took part in the competition themed “Innovate Today, Nourish Tomorrow,” which highlighted the importance of innovation, food security, and sustainable agriculture.

The contest, organized in partnership with the Department of Agriculture (DA) and the Department of Education (DepEd), provided young learners with an opportunity to express their artistic talents while raising awareness about building a sustainable and food-secure future.

Joshua’s journey to the regional stage is a testament to his dedication, creativity, and courage to showcase his talent. As one of the 15 finalists in the World Food Day Poster Making Contest, his participation marks another meaningful milestone in his young artistic journey.

Out of the 15 finalists, 14 showed up to take part in the competition, making the event a celebration of talent, determination, and artistic expression.

Behind every stroke of color and every creative idea is a young learner who continues to inspire others through his passion and hard work.

BCESSC Conducts BSP Investiture 2026

Buhangin Central Elementary School SPED Center (BCESSC) successfully conducts its BSP Investiture on September 2, 2026, at the BCESSC Gymnasium, welcoming young Scouts into a journey of leadership, discipline, service, and character-building.

The ceremony highlighted the Scouts’ commitment to the ideals of the Boy Scouts of the Philippines (BSP) as they proudly embraced their responsibilities as young leaders. With the support of school officials, teachers, parents, and Scouting leaders, the event strengthened the spirit of camaraderie and service among the Scouts.

BCESSC SNED Celebrates Filipino Culture Through Buwan ng Wika Culmination

Buhangin Central Elementary School SPED Center (BCESSC) SNED learners, teachers, and school personnel came together for the Buwan ng Wika Culmination on August 29, 2026, celebrating the richness of the Filipino language, culture, and traditions. The celebration highlighted the theme of unity and pride in being Filipino, giving learners an opportunity to showcase their talents and appreciation for the country’s diverse cultural heritage.

The program featured various activities and performances that allowed SNED learners to actively participate and express themselves through Filipino songs, dances, traditional attire, and other cultural presentations. Teachers and parents also supported the learners throughout the celebration, creating an inclusive and joyful atmosphere where every learner had the chance to shine and demonstrate their abilities.

The Buwan ng Wika Culmination served as a meaningful reminder that language and culture play an important role in strengthening Filipino identity. Through the celebration, BCESSC SNED continues to promote inclusivity, respect for diversity, and appreciation of Filipino heritage while empowering learners to take pride in their roots and confidently share their talents with the school community.
