In this holy season of giving, our volunteers found profound joy in gathering the children residing in the park for an afternoon of spiritual fellowship.
Reflecting the true essence of ChristmasโGodโs relentless search for us through the birth of Jesusโwe shared the Parable of the Lost Sheep. It was a beautiful opportunity to remind these little ones that they are deeply loved, and precious in the eyes of the Good Shepherd. ๐โค๏ธ
The mission continued with an interactive coloring session and a simple agape, where we shared snacks and Gifts of Love with the children. We are deeply grateful for the opportunity to serve and for the dedication of our volunteers who made this transformative encounter possible. ๐๐

โจALAY GASA SA KWARESMA 2025 โจ
What if the greatest gift we could give this Lentโฆis ourselves?
The UIC-Volunteer Catechist Club was blessed with the privilege to encounter Christ in the faces of the children of Balay Pasilungan, Davao City, last April 6, 2025 through an Outreach program.
In which one a quiet reminder of joy, hope, and resilience, may this experience remind us to keep giving with purpose, even beyond this season. ๐

Rise and rejoice! โจโ๏ธ
Today's Gospel of John 20:1-9 reminds us of the awe-inspiring miracle of Easter Sunday, as Mary Magdalene discovers the empty tomb and rushes to share the good news with the disciples. In this passage, we learn the powerful lesson of unwavering faith and the transformative power of Christ's resurrection. As volunteer catechists, let us reflect on the profound message of hope and renewal that Easter brings, inspiring us to spread the light of Christ's love to others and to embrace the joy of new beginnings in our own lives.
Happy Easter Sunday! ๐ค๐๐ป

It means making good use of created things: faith in God, the only One, leads us to use everything that is not God only insofar as it brings us closer to him, and to detach ourselves from it insofar as it turns us away from him:
My Lord and my God, take from me everything that distances me from you. My Lord and my God, give me everything that brings me closer to you. My Lord and my God, detach me from myself to give my all to you.

God put us in the world to know, to love, and to serve him, and so to come to paradise. Beatitude makes us "partakers of the divine nature" and of eternal life. With beatitude, man enters into the glory of Christ and into the joy of the Trinitarian life.

A reading from the holy Gospel according to Mark:
Then they came to Capernaum,
and on the sabbath Jesus entered the synagogue and taught.
The people were astonished at his teaching,
for he taught them as one having authority and not as the scribes.
In their synagogue was a man with an unclean spirit;
he cried out, โWhat have you to do with us, Jesus of Nazareth?
Have you come to destroy us?
I know who you areโthe Holy One of God!โ
Jesus rebuked him and said,
โQuiet! Come out of him!โ
The unclean spirit convulsed him and with a loud cry came out of him.
All were amazed and asked one another,
โWhat is this?
A new teaching with authority.
He commands even the unclean spirits and they obey him.โ
His fame spread everywhere throughout the whole region of Galilee.

A reading from the holy Gospel according to Mark:
On that day, as evening drew on, Jesus said to his disciples:
โLet us cross to the other side.โ
Leaving the crowd, they took Jesus with them in the boat just as he was.
And other boats were with him.
A violent squall came up and waves were breaking over the boat,
so that it was already filling up.
Jesus was in the stern, asleep on a cushion.
They woke him and said to him,
โTeacher, do you not care that we are perishing?โ
He woke up,
rebuked the wind,
and said to the sea, โQuiet! Be still!โ
The wind ceased and there was great calm.
Then he asked them, โWhy are you terrified?
Do you not yet have faith?โ
They were filled with great awe and said to one another,
โWho then is this whom even wind and sea obey?โ
