In anticipation of possible aftershocks and pending the completion of ongoing structural assessments, government offices in Davao City, including local government offices and national government agencies, shall adopt a work-from-home arrangement tomorrow, June 9, 2026, EXCEPT for offices providing safety and security, health, sanitation, traffic management, social services, and disaster and emergency response services.

The private sector is encouraged to adopt similar arrangements to ensure the welfare and safety of their employees.

Face-to-face classes at all levels in both public and private educational institutions shall remain suspended tomorrow, June 9, 2026, pending the completion of safety inspections.

Educational institutions are encouraged to adopt online or distance learning modalities to ensure the welfare and safety of their students and personnel.

San Isidro Elementary School continues to experience the true spirit of bayanihan as Brigada Eskwela 2026 entered its second day with another meaningful act of community support.

The school gratefully received a donation of four cans of latex paint from the Philippine National Police Regional Internal Affairs Service 11 (PNP RIAS 11) under the leadership of Police Brigadier General Brando Camacho Empeso. This generous contribution will be utilized to enhance and beautify school facilities, creating a more welcoming and conducive learning environment for learners as the school prepares for the opening of School Year 2026–2027.

The donation reflects the commitment of PNP RIAS 11 to support educational initiatives and strengthen partnerships that contribute to the welfare and development of the community. Through collaborative efforts such as these, schools are empowered to provide safe, clean, and inspiring spaces where children can learn and thrive.

San Isidro Elementary School extends its heartfelt gratitude to Police Brigadier General Brando Camacho Empeso and the entire PNP RIAS 11 family for their generosity and unwavering support. BUHANGIN, DAVAO CITY - San Isidro Elementary School officially launched Brigada Eskwela 2026 on June 1, 2026, gathering teachers, parents, learners, stakeholders, and community partners in a collective effort to prepare the school for the opening of School Year 2026–2027.

Carrying the theme, “Bayanihan sa Paaralan: Nagkakaisa para sa Kaayusan at Kaalaman,” the kick-off program highlighted the spirit of volunteerism and community cooperation as participants joined hands in cleaning, repairing, and improving school facilities.

The event was graced by Public Schools District Supervisor Melinda A. Roma, EdD, Barangay Captain Francisco Gamad, Barangay Councilors Nescy Yu, Gladdys Manit, Larry Tatad, Kenny Sitjar, and Vicente D. Longakit. Also present were PCPL Alvin Jay Melendren, PCPL Diana Ann Manan, and fellow police officers who expressed their support for the school's preparations for the incoming academic year.

Teachers, SELG officers, PTA officers, parents, volunteers, and stakeholders actively participated in various clean-up and maintenance activities, contributing their time, effort, and resources to ensure a safe and conducive learning environment for learners.

“Brigada Eskwela is more than just preparing our school facilities. It is a testament to the unity and commitment of our community in supporting the education of our children,” Ma’am Nora C. Rafols, MT II said during the program.

The successful launch of Brigada Eskwela 2026 demonstrated the enduring value of bayanihan, showcasing how collaborative efforts can help create a better learning environment and strengthen community involvement in education.
