Last Thursday, August 12, 2026, Holy Cross of Agdao (HCA) held a Meeting de Avance for the Supreme Student Government (SSG). The activity provided an avenue for the aspiring SSG officers to present their platforms, programs, and visions for the student body, while encouraging students to actively participate in the upcoming student elections.

May this activity inspire our young leaders to uphold integrity, responsibility, service, and commitment as they prepare to serve the HCA community.

The Holy Cross of Agdao (HCA) community gathered for its Monthly Institutional Mass, presided over by Rev. Fr. Florencio Acedo, DCD.

In his homily, Rev. Fr. Acedo reflected on the Gospel account of the Transfiguration of Jesus, emphasizing that Christ revealed His divine glory to strengthen the faith of His disciples. He encouraged the students to allow God’s transforming grace to shape their lives by deepening their faith, living with integrity, and becoming witnesses of Christ through their words and actions. He reminded the HCA community that, just as the disciples were transformed by their encounter with Jesus, every learner is called to reflect Christ’s light through compassion, humility, and service to others.

The Monthly Institutional Mass remains an integral part of Holy Cross of Agdao’s commitment to the spiritual formation of its learners, faculty, and staff, fostering a faith-filled community grounded in Christian values and dedicated to its mission of providing quality transformative education.

Today, July 28, 2026, the faculty and staff of Holy Cross of Agdao, together with the students, participated in the disposition of School Identification Cards for School Year 2026–2027.

This year’s school ID features an integrated QR Code System, which enables real-time monitoring of students’ IN and OUT transactions within the school premises. Through this system, parents or guardians will receive notifications whenever their child enters or exits the campus, ensuring improved student monitoring and enhanced school security.

The implementation of this innovative school ID system is powered by PROTRACK by Phoenix Publishing House, supporting Holy Cross of Agdao’s commitment to utilizing technology for a safer, more efficient, and more connected learning environment for the entire HCA community.

Holy Cross of Agdao proudly participated in and served as the venue for the 2026 Davao Region-Wide Nutrition Month Poster-Making Contest, held on July 18, 2026. The event was organized by the Davao City Youth for Green Environment (DCYGE) in partnership with the National Nutrition Council (NNC).

The competition brought together talented student-artists from various schools across the Davao Region, providing them with an opportunity to creatively express this year’s Nutrition Month theme through visual arts. The activity highlighted the vital role of young people in promoting nutrition awareness, environmental responsibility, and community engagement.

Holy Cross of Agdao extends its sincere appreciation to the Davao City Youth for Green Environment (DCYGE) and the National Nutrition Council (NNC) for organizing this meaningful initiative. We also commend the participating schools, coaches, volunteers, and student contestants for their dedication, creativity, and commitment to advancing the advocacy of proper nutrition and environmental stewardship.
