This Father’s Day, the Ampon National High School community extends its deepest gratitude to the extraordinary fathers and male guardians of our Parent-Teacher Association (PTA).

Instead of taking a day of rest, these dedicated men chose to spend their time, sweat, and strength constructing our new School Gate. This project is more than just a structure of steel and concrete; it is a symbol of protection, unity, and a shared commitment to the safety and bright future of our students.

In unity with the Davao City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO), Ampon National High School actively participated in the 2nd Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) today, June 18, 2026.

By conducting this simultaneous drill, our faculty, staff, and students reinforce our commitment to disaster preparedness, resilience, and safety within our school community. Recognizing potential risks and mastering proper response protocols ensures that we are always ready for any emergency.

​MONDAY—Ampon National High School commenced its weekly flag ceremony this morning, signaling the start of the instructional block. The event served a dual purpose of community building and celebrating top-tier student achievement.

​During the ceremony, the school officially introduced the incoming Parents-Teachers Association (PTA) Officers, highlighting the vital collaboration between families and faculty for the upcoming academic endeavors.

​Following the introduction, a special tribute and awarding ceremony was held for Kent Michael L. Dulos. Kent, the undisputed pride of Ampon NHS, was given well-deserved recognition for his stellar performance at the Palarong Pambansa 2026, where he secured the 6th place finish in the 5000-meter event. The school administration presented the award to honor his hard work and historic finish on the national stage.

𝐄𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐎𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐁𝐥𝐨𝐜𝐤 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐅𝐮𝐥𝐥-𝐏𝐚𝐜𝐤𝐞𝐝 𝐀𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬!

What a phenomenal whirlwind of productivity, collaboration, and community spirit! We have officially wrapped up our opening block with a series of high-energy, impactful activities that truly set a magnificent tone for the rest of the school year.

The day kicked off with an incredible turnout for our Homeroom PTA Meetings, bridging the gap between home and school to ensure our students' success right from day one. This collaborative energy carried over beautifully into our PTA General Assembly, where we successfully held the election and official turnover ceremony for our newly elected PTA Officers. We extend our deepest gratitude to our outgoing officers for their dedicated service, and a enthusiastic congratulations to our new leaders who are ready to champion our school's vision!

Adding to the excitement of leadership and advocacy, our students also stepped up for the environment by conducting the election of officers for the DCWD Water Ambassadors, paving the way for vital youth-led water conservation initiatives.

We were deeply honored by the presence of our esteemed Cluster Supervisor, Harriette B. Roseos, who joined us for a deeply meaningful discussion on the vital importance of literacy. Her insightful words reminded us all—parents, teachers, and leaders alike—of our shared responsibility to foster a love for reading and learning in our children's lives. Thank you, Ma'am, for inspiring our community!

The excitement reached an all-time high as we announced and acknowledged the lucky winners of our Brigada Eskwela Raffle! 🎟️🎁 A huge shoutout goes to everyone who supported this initiative—your generosity goes a long way in keeping our school a safe, vibrant, and beautiful place to learn.

To our amazing parents, dedicated teachers, and active community partners: thank you for showing up, stepping up, and making this opening block a phenomenal success. Together, there is nothing we cannot achieve! 💪❤️

📢 EMERGENCY ADVISORY: SUSPENSION OF FACE-TO-FACE CLASSES
📅 June 9, 2026 (Tuesday)

Pursuant to the latest directive from the City Government of Davao (Earthquake Update 4), please be informed that face-to-face classes at Ampon National High School remain suspended tomorrow, Tuesday, June 9, 2026. This is to give way to the completion of city-wide structural safety inspections following the recent earthquake.

To ensure learning continuity, please guide your children on the following arrangements for tomorrow:
For Learners: We will implement BLENDED LEARNING. Students are advised to stay safe at home and check their respective class group chats for modules, tasks, and instructions from their subject teachers.

For Personnel: All teaching and non-teaching personnel will observe a work-from-home (WFH) arrangement.

A separate announcement will be posted here regarding the resumption of regular face-to-face classes and office work.

We urge everyone to stay vigilant, monitor official updates, and prioritize safety. Daghang salamat and stay safe!

📢 STUDENT SAFETY UPDATE & CLASS SUSPENSION 📢

Following the recent earthquake felt across Davao City today, June 8, 2026, the School Administration would like to assure all parents, guardians, and stakeholders that all students, faculty, and staff are safe and accounted for. Our emergency response and safety protocols were immediately activated, and everyone was safely evacuated to our designated open assembly areas.

In line with the official directive from the City Government of Davao (as seen in image.png), classes at all levels are officially suspended effective immediately today, June 8, 2026.

🎒 Important Instructions for Parents & Guardians:

Pick-up: Parents may now safely fetch their children from the school's designated evacuation gates. Please follow the instructions of our security personnel and marshals to ensure an orderly dismissal.

Stay Tuned: For students who take school transport, coordinators are already organizing safe travel arrangements.

We urge everyone to remain calm, vigilant, and prioritize safety as we monitor potential aftershocks. Further updates regarding the resumption of classes will be posted on our official page.

Due to the recent earthquake experienced in Davao City, classes at all levels, both public and private institutions, and work in all local and national government offices within the city are hereby suspended effective immediately, today, June 8, 2026.

Private offices and institutions are likewise encouraged to do the same to ensure the welfare and safety of their employees .
