Dr. Lawrence’s presentation entitled “𝐖𝐀𝐓𝐓𝐒 𝐔𝐏, 𝐏𝐈𝐋𝐈𝐏𝐈𝐍𝐀𝐒! 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐦𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐬𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐲 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬" particularly highlights the establishment of the Philippines’ Advanced Batteries Center (ABC), a DOST-Niche Centers in the Regions (NICER) Program, and the delivery of the ABC’s Project NextGen: Development of Advanced Cathode Materials for Next-Generation Batteries. It also presents the National Research Council of the Philippines (NRCP)-funded Project PROTEUS: Policy R&D on Optimization, Techno-Economics, and sUStainability of Waste-to-Energy in the Philippines.
