📖 WIS WEEKEND QUR’AN MEMORIZATION HALAQAH
حلقة تحفيظ القرآن الكريم

Wisdom Islamic School is pleased to open a Weekend Qur’an Memorization Halaqah for males, beginning tonight, Saturday, Rabī' Al-Awwal 10, 1448H (August 22, 2026), in shā Allāh.

🕌 Venue: Masjid Al-Hikmah, Wisdom Compound, Abinsay St., Dumanlas, Buhangin, Davao City
🕰 Between Maghrib and ‘Ishā’
🗓 Every Saturday & Sunday

💡 The halaqah is focused on Hifdhul-Qur’an and is open to males of different memorization levels:
▪️ Beginners in memorization
▪️ Intermediate students
▪️ Advanced students

📌 Participants should already be able to read the Qur’an independently. This is a Qur’an memorization program, not a basic Qur’an reading class.

🟢 The halaqah will include:
▪️ Memorization of new portions
▪️ Regular review of previously memorized portions
▪️ Tasmi‘ to the teachers
▪️ Individual guidance according to each student’s level
▪️ Correction of recitation and Tajwīd to help ensure correct memorization

🤝 This program is not limited to WIS students or the Masjid Al-Hikmah community. Other brothers and boys who are able to read the Qur’an independently are also welcome to join.
- Those interested may simply come to Masjid Al-Hikmah and approach the WIS Admin or Asātidhah.

The Prophet ﷺ said:
خيركم من تعلم القرآن وعلمه
“The best of you are those who learn the Qur’an and teach it.”
(Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī)

🤲 May Allāh make us from the people of the Qur’an, grant us sincerity, consistency, and correct memorization, and make the Qur’an a proof for us and not against us.

بارك الله فيكم

📌 STATEMENT RE: SHOOTING INCIDENT IN AdZU JHS
Wisdom Islamic School joins the call for the protection and safety of our learners and schools. We strongly condemn unlawful killing, violence, and the terrorizing of innocent people, as Islam does not permit the unlawful taking of innocent life.

“…if anyone killed a person not in retaliation of murder, or (and) to spread mischief in the land - it would be as if he killed all mankind…”
— Sūrah Al-Mā’idah 5:32, Hilali-Khan Translation

🤲 May Allāh protect our children, our schools, and our communities from every form of evil and violence, and may He grant patience and comfort to all those affected.
