BBBNHS at 23: Honoring a Legacy, Celebrating a Community
Bernardino B. Bosque National High School (BBBNHS) marked its 23rd Founding Anniversary Cum Stakeholders’ Celebration with a day filled with gratitude, remembrance, talent, and pride at the school gymnasium. The celebration began with a lively motorcade, led by officers from Bunawan Police Station DCPO, followed by the school’s Drum and Lyre Corps (DLC), teachers, Boy Scouts of the Philippines (BSP), and the Disaster Risk Reduction and Action Team (DRRAT).
The parade set the tone for a meaningful celebration of the school’s 23 years of service and growth. Following the motorcade, the school community gathered for a Thanksgiving Mass and the blessing of the monument honoring the school’s beloved founders, Mr. Bernardino Bosque and Mrs. Gertrudes Bosque. The moment served as a heartfelt tribute to the couple whose vision and dedication laid the foundation of the institution.
The program proper opened with the Entrance of Colors, followed by the singing of the National Anthem led by Mrs. Lea Arianne P. Cuison and an invocation led by Cleah Angelika B. Bertulfo, SSLG Information Officer. The Drum and Lyre Corps then delivered an energetic opening performance that added excitement to the celebration.
One of the highlights of the program was the message from the Bosque family heir, Jani Veve Bosque, who shared words that reflected the family’s enduring connection to the school and its community. Her message reminded everyone of the legacy that continues to live on through BBBNHS.
The celebration also looked back on the school’s journey through a message from its first principal, Ma'am Purificacion Yambao. She shared stories of the school’s early years, particularly the dedication of teachers who continued to serve despite having limited resources. Her words highlighted how commitment and perseverance helped shape BBBNHS into the institution it is today.
Adding color and excitement to the occasion, students showcased their talents by grade level, giving each batch an opportunity to demonstrate their creativity, confidence, and school spirit.
The performances became a celebration not only of talent but also of the students who represent the continuing legacy of BBBNHS.
The gathering was further enriched by a message from Kap. Odeña, who shared words of support and appreciation for the school and its role in the community.
As the celebration neared its conclusion, another message was delivered to close the program, leaving the school community with a renewed sense of gratitude and pride. More than just an anniversary, the 23rd celebration of BBBNHS became a reminder of where the school came from, the people who helped build it, and the community that continues to carry its legacy forward.
From the founders who started the journey to the teachers, students, stakeholders, and families who continue to nurture it, BBBNHS at 23 stands as a testament to dedication, unity, and a legacy that continues to inspire.
