Fr. The vision which animates the Anthony and Mark Cavanis Elementary School (AMCES) is based on the Gospel values of God’s love for people and people’s love for each other. At its core is the individual person, child of God the Father, redeemed by Christ, called by the Holy Spirit to form the new humanity, is the Christian idea of person as a unique creature, particularly and personally loved by God and therefore recognized in all his/her rights and integral being, against whom nobody can intrude, from conception to death. AMCES vision draws inspiration from Christ: “He reveals and favors the new sense of existence and changes it, making the people able to live divinely that is to think, will and act according to the Gospel. So the evangelical principles become educational rules, inner motivations and final goals”. (SC 14)
AMCES vision comes from a special inspiration of the Venerable Frs. Anthony and Mark Cavanis, who spent their whole life and wealth to serve children and youth, with a particular attention to the poor. They taught us to be a true family for the children and youth we care for, to love them as they were our own sons and daughters for the glory of the Father.
