The Davao City Library and Information Center successfully conducted a Back-to-School Orientation for Kids, welcoming young learners as they begin a new school year.
The activity introduced the children to the libraryโs services, resources, and programs that support their learning journey. Proper library etiquette was also discussed to guide participants on responsible and respectful use of library spaces and materials.
This orientation continues to encourage a love for reading while helping young library users become more confident, mindful, and independent learners.

Learners actively participated in storytelling and book reading sessions designed to foster a love for reading and enhance their literacy skills. In addition, a Disaster Education Orientation, First Aid Training, and Basic Life Support (BLS) orientation were conducted to equip students with essential knowledge and skills on safety, preparedness, and emergency response.

On June 15, 2026, the Mobile Library Bus made its first visit to ๐ง๐ฎ๐ด๐๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ป๐ผ ๐๐น๐ฒ๐บ๐ฒ๐ป๐๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ ๐ฆ๐ฐ๐ต๐ผ๐ผ๐น, marking the start of the 2026โ2027 school year. Learners participated in a variety of enriching activities, including storytelling and book reading sessions that promoted literacy and a love for reading. To strengthen disaster preparedness and safety awareness among the students, a Disaster Education Orientation, First Aid Training, and Basic Life Support (BLS) orientation were also conducted.
Through these meaningful activities, the Mobile Library continues to support both literacy and community resilience by bringing knowledge, learning opportunities, and essential life skills closer to young learners.
