To safeguard the welfare of all students due to the recent twin tremors and its aftershocks, DepEd Davao City Division will implement MODULAR, AND ASYNCHRONOUS or BLENDED LEARNING starting tomorrow, October 15, 2025 until further notice.
Teaching personnel are not required to report onsite, while non-teaching personnel shall continue to report to ensure the continuity of essential school operations.
Teachers are also directed to monitor the conduct of blended learning, ensure the continuity of learning activities, and provide necessary learner support.
Let us remain vigilant and prioritize our safety while continuing our pursuit of learning.

LOOK || Training of Teachers on the Microsoft Productivity Tools for the DepEd Computerization Program
The Department of Education (DepED) continues its commitment to enhancing the teaching and learning process through the integration of technology. As part of this initiative, the DepED Computerization Program (DCP) provides public schools with essential ICT equipment and aims to improve the digital literacy of educators. In line with this, a training on Microsoft Productivity Tools was conducted for teachers, with the primary objective of equipping them with the necessary skills to effectively utilize the software in their daily administrative and instructional tasks. This report outlines the key activities and outcomes of the first day of the training, which took place today, August 9, 2025 at Buhisan NHS Faculty Room.
The training commenced with a formal opening program at exactly 8:10AM. The program began with an invocation followed by the singing of thw Philippine National Anthem. Ma'am Mirasol O. Fabuna, School Principal II of Buhisan NHS, delivered an inspiring opening message, emphasizing the importance of embracing technology as a tool for 21st-century educators. She highlighted that while computers cannot replace teachers, those who can effectively use technology will be at the forefront of modern education. The opening remarks set a positive tone for the training, motivating the participants to actively engage and learn.
The first day's sessions were dedicated to introducing the participants to the fundamental features of Microsoft 365 and its core applications. The training was facilitated by Sir Jeff Mark Capalla, Ma'am Abegail OdeΓ±a and Cj Harder - Cabiles and was designed to be hands-on, allowing teachers to immediately apply the concepts being taught.
The day's curriculum focused on the following:
* Session 1: Introduction to Microsoft 365 and Account Activation. The session began with an overview of the Microsoft 365 platform and its benefits for educators.
* Session 2: Microsoft One Drive
* Session 3: Microsoft Forms
The first day of the training was highly successful in laying the groundwork for a deeper understanding of Microsoft's productivity tools. The participants expressed enthusiasm for the practical skills they acquired, recognizing how these tools can streamline their administrative tasks and create more dynamic learning experiences for their students.
The day concluded with a brief recap of the topics covered and a preview of the upcoming sessions, which will delve into other vital tools such as Microsoft Excel, Teams, and Others. The participants were encouraged to practice the skills they learned and explore the applications on their own to maximize their learning.
