𝐌𝐄𝐌𝐎 | Official Statement for the PSHS-DRC Community

Hello, Pisay DRC.

The PSHS-DRC Student Government has heard the concerns of our community regarding the recent incidents of school shootings across the country. We recognize that these events can raise serious concerns about our own safety and well-being, and we want to reaffirm that the security, mental health, and sense of belonging of every member of the PSHS-DRC community remain important to us.

We would also like to remind everyone that support systems are available within the campus. Students may approach the Teen Center for counseling and support through its peer facilitators. The Guidance Office also provides access to the guidance counselor and school therapist for students and staff who may need additional assistance. We encourage everyone to reach out to these support systems whenever they feel the need for guidance, support, or simply someone to talk to without prejudice.

The Student Government will work closely with the School Management Committee to raise student concerns and help strengthen measures that will promote the safety and well-being of our community. We will remain committed to ensuring that student voices are heard and that concerns regarding campus safety are communicated through the proper channels. Moving forward, we will work with the administration to develop and support concrete actions that will address these concerns and further safeguard our community.

Above all, the Student Government stands with the PSHS-DRC community. As student leaders, we remain committed to advocating for the welfare, safety, and dignity of every student. Creating the kind of campus we want is a shared responsibility, and we encourage everyone to look out for one another, treat everyone with respect and kindness, speak up when concerns arise, and to make use of the support systems available to us.
Together, we can continue to build a campus where every student feels safe, supported, and heard.
