It is always meaningful to see our graduates doing well in the industry.

Rosemarie V. Vijar, a proud BSHM alumna, is now working at Discovery Samal as an Activity Coordinator/Cashier/Receptionist under the Recreation Department.

Her work may involve different responsibilities, but at the heart of it is something every hospitality professional understands well—making guests feel welcomed, assisted, and cared for.

Seeing Rosemarie in her role is a proud reminder that the lessons, training, and experiences gained in college can truly lead to real opportunities in the industry.

As our students take part in the Discovery Samal Learn and Dine Program, may stories like hers inspire them to keep learning, keep growing, and look forward to where their own hospitality journey may take them. ✨

Behind every plate served at a resort is a story of preparation, precision, teamwork, and passion.

For Chrisgie Eway, that story continues at Discovery Samal, where he now works as a Line Cook in the Kitchen Department. As a proud BSHM alumnus of HCDC-CHaTME, he represents how classroom learning can grow into real skill and purpose in the professional kitchen.

For our students joining the Discovery Samal Learn and Dine Program, this is a glimpse of what hospitality looks like beyond the classroom: fast-paced, demanding, creative, and full of possibilities.

Some careers begin with a lesson. Others begin with a passion worth pursuing.
