The Department of Food Science and Chemistry (DFSC) proudly celebrates an exceptional performance in the August 2026 Food Technologists Licensure Examination, with 100% of our examinees passing and UP Mindanao emerging as the Top 1 Performing School.

Meet Our Convocation Speaker!

We are honored to welcome Atty. Antoinette “Petite” G. Principe, Third District City Councilor of Davao City, as the Guest Speaker for the University Convocation this August 17, 2026.

A lawyer, educator, and public servant, Atty. Principe is a strong advocate for inclusive governance, gender justice, and the rights of women and children. She currently chairs the Committee on Education, Science and Technology of the 21st City Council and has served the Davao City Council for three consecutive terms.

An alumna of UP Mindanao, she holds a BA in Social Sciences, major in Behavioral Studies, and earned her Juris Doctor from Ateneo de Davao University. Through her work in law, education, and public service, she continues to champion meaningful community development and inclusive opportunities for all.
