Holy Cross of Davao College, Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management proudly participates in Buwan ng Kalutong Pilipino with the theme “Connected by Taste: Filipino Food in the Flavors of ASEAN” held at the Activity Center, Ayala Mall Abreeza on April 24–26, 2026. Together with the CHaTME Culinary Team and the Council of Hospitality Management Students, this celebration highlights culture, tradition, and the rich diversity of Filipino cuisine on a global stage.

Day 3 marked the culmination of Filipino Food Month as the team showcased Filipino cuisine by incorporating an aratilis twist into every dish. Under the guidance of Chef Christopher Vincent Borja, Culinary Team President Nicole R. Into, along with members Kristine Nicole Zafra and Kurt Kou Ken Sandayan, prepared three distinct items. The menu featured "Beef Kulma with Aratilis" a Tausug-inspired main course, and savory "Aratilis chips" inspired by the Ilocos empanada dough process. For dessert, they served an "Aratilis Sweet Tart" made with aratilis jam and honey custard dough. These dishes were served to everyone who attended the celebration.

The team would like to extend special recognition to Culinary Team Moderator, Chef Raymond Miñoza, MM, for his invaluable guidance. A sincere appreciation to our CHaTME Dean, Dr. Ginalyn P. Yretarino, and to Ma’am Cindy Jaromay, MM, our BSHM Program Chairperson, whose steadfast commitment and support were instrumental to the success of this collaborative event.

Lastly, a heartfelt thanks to the Department of Tourism for their support and for promoting initiatives that celebrate and elevate Filipino cuisine.
