The Rene “Bobet” Baterbonia Covered Courts!

His memory and legacy lives on! 🏀🏆⛹🏽

UNIV MEMO | NAMING OF THE SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL COVERED COURTS AS THE RENE “BOBET” BATERBONIA COVERED COURTS

University Memorandum No. 2026-0052
18 June 2026

TO: THE UNIVERSITY COMMUNITY
RE: NAMING OF THE SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL COVERED COURTS AS THE RENE “BOBET” BATERBONIA COVERED COURTS

The Board of Trustees, acting by referendum, has approved the naming of the Senior High School Covered Courts as the Rene "Bobet" Baterbonia Covered Courts (RBBCC), under Board Resolution No. 2026-0020.

At his wake Mass on 14 June 2026, the University made a promise to his family. The Board has now given that promise permanent form. These are the courts where Bobet grew into the athlete and person we came to know, and his name will remain there to inspire the generations of students who come after him.

The administration will arrange the installation of appropriate signage and a dedication ceremony, details of which will follow.

We ask the community to keep Bobet and his family in your prayers.

For your information and guidance.
