MAMA MARY'S BIRTHDAY IS ON SEPTEMBER 8!

On September 8, the Church will joyfully celebrate the Feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Mother of Jesus Christ and the Mother of the Church.

Her birth will remind us of the dawn of hope for humanity, for from her would come our Savior, Jesus Christ.

As we prepare to commemorate this joyous feast, may we look to Mary as a model of humility, faith, and unwavering trust in God.

Through the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, may we also learn to say with our whole hearts:

“Let it be done to me according to your word.”

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us.

God, please give to your Church today
many more priests after your own heart.
May they be worthy representatives of Christ the Good Shepherd.
May they wholeheartedly devote themselves to prayer and penance;
be examples of humility and poverty;
shining models of holiness;
tireless and powerful preachers of the Word of God;
zealous dispensers of your grace in the sacraments.
May their loving devotion to your Son Jesus in the Eucharist
and to Mary his Mother
be the twin fountains of fruitfulness for their ministry.

Amen.

Ash Wednesday Prayer.
Lord God, as we begin this Season of Lent, receive us in humility and repentance. Through Jesus Nazareno, teach us to carry our crosses with faith, to turn away from sin, and to walk the path of conversion with love. May these ashes remind us that only in You do we find true life. Amen!
