Why School Rules Matter
Rules help children feel safe, learn responsibility, and develop respect for others. When children follow routines and expectations at school, they build self-discipline and confidence that will benefit them for life.
Parents can support this learning at home by setting clear expectations, maintaining simple routines, and consistently following through with consequences and encouragement. When home and school work together, children learn that rules are not restrictionsโthey are guides that help us live, learn, and grow successfully.
At Totโs Garden, we believe that consistency between home and school helps children thrive.

Letting out all our jiggles and wiggles!
Children enjoy music and movement because it allows them to learn through play while engaging their whole body. Singing, dancing, and moving to music help them express themselves, develop coordination, and release energy in a fun way.

First day fun has just begun!
One experienced a little separation anxiety, two to three felt overwhelmed, but the rest were thrilled on their first day of school! We are excited to get to know each child and look forward to a wonderful year of learning, growth, and fun together.

Happy to see my Totโs Garden Family โ๏ธ
Look at these two buddies on their first day of schoolโcalm, confident, and unshaken by the recent earthquake. Their composure is a clear sign that our earthquake drills and mindfulness lessons have been effective.
We hope everyone is safe.

Job Interview!
Meet Miggy our youngest applicant. Wait till the end if he got the job.
Meet our 2 years old!
At Totโs Garden we give 2-year-olds a more complete childhood because play-based approach allows them to learn naturally through movement, curiosity, and meaningful experiences. Through unlimited play opportunities, children explore, imagine, solve problems, and develop confidence at their own pace. It also supports socialization as toddlers learn to share, communicate, take turns, and build relationships with other children in a joyful and relaxed environment.
Messy play deserves a place in the curriculum because it supports whole-child development in ways structured tasks often cannot.
For language development, messy play naturally invites conversation, description, and social interaction. As children explore textures and materials, they use words to express ideas, ask questions, and engage in collaborative play, which strengthens vocabulary and communication skills.
For fine motor skills, handling materials like slime, sand, or paint helps build hand strength and coordination. Actions such as squeezing, pinching, pouring, and scooping refine control of small muscles needed for writing and other daily tasks.

What is Circle Time in preschool setting?
Circle time in preschool is a structured, teacher-guided routine that supports childrenโs social, emotional, and cognitive development. It provides a predictable context for practicing self-regulation, language use, and active listening, while fostering a sense of community and belonging.
Research in early childhood education highlights its role in scaffolding communication skills, reinforcing classroom norms, and promoting collaborative learning through shared interactions and guided participation.
Look at our summer class students! In just one month, they are learning how to sit and enjoy interacting with teachers and classmates.
