Junior Edition
Kadayawan Celebration at Tot’s Garden
Our children celebrated Kadayawan by dressing up in colorful Davao Lumad-inspired attire and exploring the rich culture and flavors of Davao.
They enjoyed discovering and tasting durian and other famous tropical fruits, as well as local treats and delicacies. The celebration continued with Indak-Indak 2025, a fun disco session, and movie time—making the day a joyful and memorable Kadayawan experience for everyone!
🎈 Catch it if you can! Focus mode: ON! 👀✨

Our 2-Year-Olds
At Tot’s Garden, our goals for 2-year-olds go beyond academics. We believe that the most important learning at this age is building the foundation for life.
Our goals are for every child to:
* Feel safe, loved, and confident.
* Develop independence in everyday routines.
* Build strong communication skills.
* Learn kindness, empathy, and respect.
* Strengthen their bodies through active play.
* Explore with curiosity and creativity.
* Develop focus and problem-solving through play.
* Build positive relationships with peers and adults.
* Gain confidence to try new things and persevere.
* Experience the joy of learning every day.
Our belief: At two years old, children learn best through meaningful play, caring relationships, and hands-on experiences—not worksheets. Academic skills will come, but confidence, curiosity, resilience, and a love for learning are the foundations that last a lifetime.
Phonics Lessons in play-based
At Tot’s Garden, phonics is not taught as a drill or worksheet-heavy lesson. Instead, children learn letter sounds naturally through play, movement, songs, stories, and hands-on exploration. The teacher intentionally creates playful experiences where children hear, say, see, and use the target sound.
Grooming our preschoolers for the Olympics?
Not exactly. 😉
At Tot’s Garden we are nurturing stamina, balance, coordination, resilience, and confidence through Olympic-inspired hurdle challenges. Every leap is an opportunity to develop physical literacy, grit, and a love for movement—all through play. 💛🏃♀️🏃♂️

Elements of Arts – Lines
Focus: Curve Lines
Art Style: Mono Printing
Today, we explored curve lines through the exciting art of mono printing. Using paint, the children created beautiful flower artworks filled with curved lines. It felt like magic as they lifted their paper to reveal their one-of-a-kind prints! The activity encouraged creativity, experimentation, and an appreciation for the unique patterns and textures that curve lines can create.

Kids Engineering
This photo shows children using train tracks, magnetic tiles, and loose parts to design and build their own structures. Through hands-on play, they explore engineering concepts such as planning, problem-solving, balance, design, and spatial awareness.
In a play-based approach, children learn by experimenting, testing ideas, and improving their creations. This type of open-ended play encourages creativity, critical thinking, teamwork, and confidence while making learning meaningful and enjoyable.
