Dear Parents,

Our center will be closed on August 21–22, 2026 (Friday & Saturday) as our teachers and staff take time to come together for our Team Building Activity.

This is an opportunity for our team to:

Please be informed that our center is OPEN on Friday, August 14, 2026, during the Kadayawan Festival in Davao City.

🕘 Adjusted Center Hours: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM only

To accommodate the shortened center hours, please coordinate with your child’s teacher regarding:

1. Coming in an earlier time slot.
2. Picking up Friday’s worksheets on Wednesday so your child can answer them at home on Friday.

📢 Important Notice: Power Interruption at the Center

Dear Students, Parents, and Guardians,

Good day!

We would like to inform you that our center has been experiencing a power interruption since approximately 7:00 AM today. As of this writing, electricity has not yet been restored, and we have not received a definite update from the power provider regarding when service will resume.

Due to this unforeseen circumstance, we regret to inform you that we are unable to conduct our regular class activities for the remainder of the day.

To ensure that students can continue their Kumon learning, parents or guardians may pick up today’s worksheets at the center so that students can complete them at home at their convenience.

Back in Grade 2, I was not the student I am today. I struggled to keep up with my classes and often found myself behind my classmates. I wanted to improve—not just to catch up, but to become someone who could excel alongside them. One day, while visiting a National Book Store branch, I came across a Kumon Math workbook. Curious, I decided to complete it on my own, hoping it would help me become better at Mathematics.

After finishing the entire book, I was amazed by how much I had learned. That experience inspired me to enroll in the Kumon program. I believed that with the guidance of dedicated instructors, an effective learning method, and consistent practice, Mathematics could become as natural as writing a sentence.

As I progressed through the program, my motivation grew stronger. I wanted to excel in school and continuously improve my mathematical skills. When I began participating in mathematics competitions, I realized how important it was to have a solid foundation and the ability to solve problems accurately and efficiently. Kumon challenged me to push beyond my limits, develop discipline, and build confidence in my abilities. Completing the program became more than just a goal—it became a milestone that prepared me for greater academic opportunities.

Now, as an incoming Grade 11 student, I continue to benefit from everything Kumon has taught me. The strong mathematical foundation I developed has enabled me to participate in competitions such as the Philippine Mathematical Olympiad, where critical thinking, perseverance, and a deep understanding of mathematical concepts are essential. More importantly, Kumon taught me how to become an independent learner who is willing to take on challenges with confidence. These lessons continue to prepare me for the more advanced mathematics I will encounter in senior high school and beyond.

The journey was not always easy. One of my biggest challenges was balancing my school responsibilities with the daily discipline required by Kumon. There were times when school requirements, extracurricular activities, and mathematics competitions made it difficult to stay on track. However, I discovered that consistency and good time management make all the difference. Even during the busiest seasons, taking one worksheet at a time kept me moving forward.

To every student who dreams of completing the Kumon program, my advice is simple: trust the process and never give up. There will be days when the worksheets become difficult or your schedule becomes overwhelming, but every challenge is an opportunity to grow. Do not be discouraged by mistakes because they are part of learning. Stay disciplined, manage your time wisely, and remember that every worksheet you complete, every mistake you correct, and every challenge you overcome brings you one step closer to becoming a stronger, more confident learner.
