Davao Doctors College, Inc. (DDC), in partnership with TESDA XI, takes the lead in introducing Health and Social Care as a WorldSkills competition area in Davao Region through a pilot competition on September 21 to 24, 2026.

Featuring four DDC students as competitors, the pilot serves as a testing ground for the competition mechanics, practical tasks, assessment procedures, facilities, and technical requirements ahead of its planned inclusion in the WorldSkills competition pathway beginning in 2027.

With DDC providing its healthcare expertise, educators, simulation specialists, coaches, and facilities, the initiative lays the groundwork for the future rollout of Health and Social Care in the WorldSkills competition pathway.

The session offered DDC student leaders a meaningful opportunity to reflect on the responsibilities that come with leadership and the influence they hold within their organizations and communities. Through insightful discussions and engaging activities, the participants were encouraged to strengthen their communication and teamwork skills, exercise integrity in decision-making, and develop the confidence, accountability, and resilience necessary to lead effectively.

A significant insight shared by Mr. Francis Kong underscored the deeper responsibility of leadership:
