The Financial Management Students Society (FiMSS) successfully hosted its annual Kumustahan last March 7 via Google Meet—an interactive platform designed to empower future financial leaders through meaningful discussions, networking, and valuable insights for personal and professional growth.

This year’s session featured an enlightening discussion on “𝐅𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐑𝐞𝐝 𝐅𝐥𝐚𝐠𝐬: 𝐋𝐨𝐯𝐞, 𝐋𝐢𝐟𝐞, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐋𝐨𝐚𝐧𝐬" led by our esteemed resource speaker, Mr. Roland A. Rivera, a proud BSBA alumnus, business owner, and real estate broker. His expertise shed light on common financial pitfalls and the importance of making informed decisions in various aspects of life.

Beyond the discussion, Kumustahan 2025 fostered a supportive and inclusive space where students felt heard, valued, and encouraged to take charge of their academic journey and their financial future.

[𝗥𝗘𝗖𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗟𝗬 𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗗𝗨𝗖𝗧𝗘𝗗]

The Financial Management Students’ Society (FiMSS) co-organized a learning session titled “𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐏𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐢𝐭𝐬 𝐈𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐁𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐄𝐧𝐯𝐢𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭” held at the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) Mindanao Regional Office. Attended by 3rd-year BSBA-Financial Management students who are enrolled in Monetary Policy and Central Banking course last 29 October 2024, this event provided students with a comprehensive understanding of the critical role monetary policy plays in shaping business dynamics, economic stability, and the broader business landscape.

Students learned firsthand how monetary policy decisions ripple through financial markets, influencing growth and stability in the economy through the discussions of esteemed BSP bank officers Ms. Dorothy Joy A. Diaz and Ms. Maria Kathelina O. Paclibar.

This event was an exciting step forward for these aspiring finance professionals, underscoring the University’s commitment to impactful, hands-on education that prepares students for dynamic business challenges.

[𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗚𝗥𝗔𝗧𝗨𝗟𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗦] The College of Business Administration (CBA) expresses its sincere congratulations to the USeP Young Marketers Society (YMS) for having been hailed as the overall 1st Runner Up of the recently concluded 12th Agui-Po Awards, held at the Arrupe Hall and Finster Auditorium, at the Ateneo de Davao University campus, Davao City on April 11-13, 2024.

This inter-school competition aimed to unite and showcase the potential of marketing students and foster harmonious relationships with various business schools in Mindanao. It was participated in by 11 higher education institutions in the region.

Proudly, the participants alongside their supportive adviser Dr. Helen Grace Legorio and coaches Dr. Sharon Binoya, Dr. Karl Campos, Dr. Jonathan Gano-an, and Asst. Prof. Nash Reginio bagged four Champion awards, namely: Agui-Pop Star, Carousel Ad, Digital Marketing, and Product Demonstration, with two 2nd Runner Up awards for Product Photography and Quiz Bowl and participation in the Creative Video Ad.

On April 15, 2024, the winners with their adviser and coach, together with the CBA Dean Dr. Edeliza S. Gonzales and the PAD Director Dr. Rosfe Corlae D. Badoy, paid a courtesy visit to the University President, Dr. Bonifacio G. Gabales, Jr. to present the awards. Acknowledging the achievement of the students, Pres. Gabales emphasized that their participation and winning is a contribution to the University’s vision, mission, and goals, whilst igniting the spirit of a government scholar- embody competence and bring pride to the University.
