𝐓𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐚𝐧: Ginagamit ang gitling (-) kapag ang dalawang salitang pinagsama ay hindi pa bumubuo ng bagong kahulugan o kapag literal ang ibig sabihin. Samantala, walang gitling kapag ang dalawang salita ay nagkaroon na ng bagong kahulugan bilang isang salita.

Halimbawa: kapit-bahay kapag literal na kapit at bahay ang tinutukoy, ngunit kapitbahay kapag ang ibig sabihin ay taong nakatira malapit sa iyo.

📅 𝐀𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐲: 𝐒𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟐𝟏 – 𝟐𝟗, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔✍

Selected learners will have the opportunity to serve as Junior Educators and experience selected responsibilities of teachers and other school personnel under the guidance and supervision of our educators.

Selected participants will:

🏆 Have the opportunity to be recognized during the National Teachers’ Month Culmination

In 𝟏𝟖𝟗𝟖, Spain lost to the United States during the Spanish-American War, marking the beginning of American rule in the Philippines.

During this period, the Americans recognized Davao’s fertile land and agricultural potential. The region became known for the production of coconut and abaca, which became important to its growing economy.

They also developed roads, bridges, telephone lines, and school buildings, improving transportation, communication, and education while supporting the growth of local communities.

The American period became an important chapter in Davao’s development, shaping its agriculture, infrastructure, and economy.

In 𝟏𝟖𝟒𝟖, during the Age of Exploration, the Spanish reached the lands of Davao. Their arrival marked an important turning point in the history of the region as Spanish forces began expanding their influence.

𝑫𝒂𝒕𝒖 𝑩𝒂𝒈𝒐, a local chieftain, stood against the Spanish expansion and defended his homeland. He led a fierce resistance against the Spanish forces headed by 𝑫𝒐𝒏 𝑱𝒐𝒔𝒆́ 𝑶𝒚𝒂𝒏𝒈𝒖𝒓𝒆𝒏.

As Spanish influence grew, Don José Oyanguren also introduced and expanded trade and Christian influence among the people living in the area. These changes became part of the historical developments that shaped Davao in the years that followed.

The Spanish arrival was more than just an event—it became a significant chapter in Davao’s history, influencing its people, culture, trade, and development.
