Mindanao Natural Language Processing Research and Development Laboratory

Today, the Mindanao Natural Language Processing Research and Development Laboratory warmly welcomed our guests from the Matigsalug Indigenous Peoples Community of Brgy. Gumitan, Marilog District, Davao City, led by Brgy. Chairman Abonio Pandia, together with Ms. Rosalyn L. Ali and Datu Delfin Lumbinay Sr.

We were also honored to welcome Engr. Nelson Enano, Director of the Center for Renewable Energy and Appropriate Technologies, and Engr. Wendelyn D. Santander, Science Research Specialist II of the Department of Energy.

Their visit provided a meaningful opportunity for dialogue, collaboration, and the exchange of ideas toward initiatives that support community development, sustainability, and the meaningful inclusion of Indigenous communities in research and innovation.

We are grateful for their time, insights, and continued partnership with the University of the Immaculate Conception.
