A tapestry of tradition, movement, and identity unfolded on stage as the Kasibulan Artist Ensemble took part in this yearโs celebration of Filipino language and culture.
On August 28, 2026, we proudly opened the Buwan ng Wika celebration through a showcase inspired by the rich heritage of the Maranao people. Draped in traditional attire and guided by the rhythm of each movement, we brought stories of tradition and cultural identity before the audience.
The performance journey began with the graceful movements of Kapa Malong-Malong, followed by the elegance and artistry of Pagapir, and the captivating storytelling of Singkil. Each piece offered a glimpse into the beauty, creativity, and heritage deeply rooted in Maranao culture.
As the final moments approached, the stage came alive once more with the vibrant energy of our Unity Dance. With every step and every formation, we transformed our individual movements into one collective expression of togetherness.
This Opening Salvo was our way of honoring heritage, embracing diversity, and celebrating the cultures that make the Filipino identity truly remarkable.
