In light of the shooting incident that occurred this morning at the Ateneo de Zamboanga, we understand the concern and anxiety this may have caused among our school community.
As a precautionary measure, classes will temporarily shift to online modality until Thursday, August 20, 2026. This will allow the school time to review and reassess its security measures and protocols to ensure the safety of the students and personnel.
We encourage parents and guardians to reassure their children and remind them to remain calm and rely only on verified information from the schoolโs official channels.
Further announcements regarding the resumption of face-to-face classes will be communicated through our official channels.

Philippine Science High SchoolโDavao Region Campus welcomed a 13-member delegation from Dombit International School of Namangan, Uzbekistan, on July 30, 2026, for an educational study visit focused on learning from the schoolโs practices and exploring opportunities for international collaboration.
The delegation, composed of school administrators, department heads, and teachers, gained insights into PSHS-Davaoโs teaching and learning practices, curriculum and assessment, student support systems, participation in international competitions, and professional development programs.
School Director Dr. Jonald P. Fenecios warmly welcomed the delegation and presented the milestones and achievements of PSHS-Davao Region Campus. CID Chief Ms. Jearvy R. Laรฑohan likewise presented the programs and functions of the Curriculum and Instruction Division, providing the visitors with a closer look at the schoolโs academic operations.
The visit provided an avenue for both institutions to exchange perspectives and explore potential academic partnerships, including teacher and student exchanges, collaborative projects, and other educational initiatives.
The engagement further strengthened PSHS-Davao Region Campusโs international linkages and commitment to meaningful educational exchange.

Philippine Science High SchoolโDavao Region Campus hosted U.S. educators Ms. Sarah Pallito and Ms. Nicha Huxtable for the 2026 Fulbright Teachers for the Global Classroom (TGC) Program from July 20 to 24, 2026.
The five-day exchange was organized by the Philippine-American Educational Foundation (PAEF), also known as Fulbright Philippines, as part of its commitment to strengthening PhilippinesโU.S. relations through academic and professional exchanges. The visiting educators, part of a cohort of American Kโ12 teachers funded by the U.S. Department of State, were hosted by PSHS-Davao with the coordination of Fulbright alumni Ms. Suzette A. Palicte and Dr. Sharon M. Dejarme.
During their stay, Ms. Sarah and Ms. Nicha observed classes, participated in co-teaching and guest lectures, engaged in faculty discussions, and took part in a cultural immersion activity facilitated by Fulbright alumni.
The program culminated on July 24 with the awarding of Certificates of Recognition to the visiting educators and Certificates of Appreciation to participating PSHS-Davao teachers.
The exchange provided an avenue for educators to share teaching practices, experiences, and perspectives while fostering cross-cultural understanding and strengthening educational ties between the Philippines and the United States.

Please be advised that on August 13, 2026 (Thursday), all personnel of the Philippine Science High School โ Davao Region Campus will observe a work-from-home arrangement, while students will attend asynchronous online classes, due to the scheduled power interruption announced by Davao Light and Power Co., Inc.
Stakeholders are respectfully advised to take note of these arrangements and plan their transactions accordingly. Regular office hours and face-to-face classes will resume on Monday, August 17, 2026.

Congratulations to Krypton Alexander Bajarin for his outstanding achievement in the Philippine Astronomy and Astrophysics Olympiad (PAAO) 2026, the national selection process for the Philippine delegation to the International Olympiad on Astronomy and Astrophysics (IOAA).
Following his successful performance in Round 1 held on May 11, 2026, Bajarin advanced to Round 2 held on May 28, 2026, where he continued to demonstrate his knowledge and skills, securing an impressive Overall Rank 3. His performance earned him a place in the Philippine Team that will represent the country at the upcoming IOAA in Hanoi, Vietnam, from September 25 to October 5, 2026. Guided by his coach, Ms. Czequinna Dainty A. Tanguihan, he represented PSHS-DRC with excellence and distinction.

Congratulations to the PisayMUN-DRC Organization for bringing pride to the school through their exceptional performance at the 2026 Secondary School Model UNESCO International Conference on the Ethics of Neurotechnology, held on July 25โ26, 2026, in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, People's Republic of China.
Organized by the UNESCO Hong Kong Association (UHKA) and the Hong Kong Institute of Education for Sustainable Development (HiESD), the conference gathered young delegates from different countries to discuss the ethical dimensions of neurotechnology. Through meaningful dialogue, teamwork, and informed leadership, the PisayMUN-DRC delegates earned several awards while proudly representing the school on the international stage.

Congratulations to the PisayMUN-DRC Organization for their commendable performance at the Singapore Model United Nations (SMUN) 2026, held on June 5โ8, 2026, at the National University of Singapore, Singapore.
Organized by the National University of Singapore, SMUN brought together student delegates from around the world for one of the Asia-Pacific's premier Model United Nations conferences. Through insightful discussions, diplomacy, and collaboration, the PisayMUN-DRC delegates earned a commendation while proudly representing the school among young leaders on the international stage.
The PisayMUN-DRC Organization also extends its sincere gratitude to the PSHSDRC Foundation, Inc. and the PSHSDRC Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) for their generous financial support, which made the organization's participation in the conference possible.

Organized by the Department of Education (DepEd) Philippines, the competition provided student-athletes with an opportunity to showcase their skills, discipline, and sportsmanship through various athletic events. Science excellence takes the spotlight as the student-scholars of Philippine Science High School โ Davao Region Campus proudly represented the campus at the Hong Kong International Science Olympiad (HKISO) Final Round 2026, held on June 20, 2026, through online and onsite participation at the National University of Singapore.
Bringing together young learners from around the world, the HKISO provided a platform for students to showcase their knowledge and skills in General Science, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. Through their participation, our scholars demonstrated their passion for scientific learning, critical thinking, and excellence in a global competition.
