Communal NHS -Disaster Preparedness and Rescue Action Team

🚑 𝐁𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐋𝐢𝐟𝐞𝐬𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬, 𝐄𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐅𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬! 🚑

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐜𝐮𝐞 𝐀𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐦 (𝐃𝐏𝐑𝐀𝐓) of Communal National High School successfully conducted its One-Day Basic Life Support (BLS) Training for aspiring DPRAT members, strengthening the students' knowledge and skills in emergency preparedness and response.

This meaningful initiative was made possible through the invaluable partnership and support of the Barangay Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Council, led by SK Chairman Joshua Scalercio and SK Kagawad John E. Davin, whose commitment to youth development and community resilience greatly contributed to the success of the activity.

The training featured comprehensive discussions, actual demonstrations, and hands-on simulations on Basic Life Support (BLS) facilitated by our esteemed guest speakers from the Talomo River BDRRMC, Mr. Justin Jay Mangmang and Ms. Loise Genelazo. Their expertise and dedication provided the participants with practical life-saving skills that can be applied during emergency situations.

One of the highlights of the training was the opportunity for the DPRAT aspirants to personally demonstrate the proper BLS procedures through guided simulations. Their enthusiasm, discipline, and willingness to learn showcased their readiness to become responsible student responders who can help protect lives within the school and the community.

This activity reflects the commitment of Communal National High School to developing students who are prepared, resilient, and capable of responding effectively during emergencies. Through continuous training and collaboration with our community partners, DPRAT remains steadfast in its mission of promoting disaster preparedness, safety awareness, and volunteerism among the youth.

The Disaster Preparedness and Rescue Action Team (DPRAT) of Communal National High School is a student volunteer organization under the school's Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM) Program.

It is committed to promoting disaster preparedness, emergency response, and a culture of safety through training, drills, and community service.

DPRAT equips students with essential skills in first aid, fire safety, evacuation procedures, and disaster response while developing leadership, discipline, teamwork, and volunteerism.

As the school's frontline student responders, members actively support DRRM activities and help create a safe, resilient, and prepared school community.
