In a tradition steeped in symbolism and camaraderie, the 2023 SMAD Grand Alumni Homecoming saw a poignant moment that beautifully encapsulated the spirit of continuity and collective responsibility - the transfer of the mace from Batch 1998 to Batch 1999.
As the President of Batch 1998 Mr Jas Huang Jasper Huang, addressed the gathering, there was a sense of pride and accomplishment in his words, acknowledging the hard work, dedication, and spirit of unity that went into organizing the BalikStella homecoming such a grand event. His speech also reflected a deep sense of trust and confidence in the abilities of the next batch to carry forward this legacy.
With these heartfelt words, the mace was passed to the representative Ms Ana Caguiat of Batch 1999. The moment was met with applause and cheers, signifying the Marisian support and enthusiasm for the new hosts.
