Tuon. Sulat. Padayon. | Empowering Young Minds, One School Kit at a Time
On June 6, 2026, LPU Davao successfully conducted "Tuon. Sulat. Padayon.", its annual outreach program for the young learners of Barangay Salacafe, Municipality of T'Boli, South Cotabato. Through the generosity, compassion, and unwavering support of the LPU Davao community, 422 school kits were prepared and distributed to help equip young learners as they embark on another meaningful school year.
More than providing essential school supplies, this initiative represents a shared commitment to uplifting communities through education. Every notebook, pencil, and learning material symbolizes hope, encouragement, and the belief that every child has the potential to achieve great things when given the opportunity to learn.
LPU Davao extends its heartfelt gratitude to everyone whose generosity and dedication made this outreach possible. Together, we continue to make a meaningful impact by nurturing dreams, inspiring young minds, and empowering the next generation to pursue a future filled with possibilities.

Handog Kalinga Para sa Sarangani ❤️
In times of adversity, compassion becomes our greatest strength.
Through the collective generosity of the Lycean community and the power of meaningful partnerships, LPU Davao brought hope and relief to the families of Sitio Asnalang, Brgy. Tinoto, Municipality of Maasim, Sarangani Province, who were affected by the magnitude 7.8 earthquake on June 15, 2026.
With over ₱120,000 worth of monetary and in-kind donations, Team LPU Davao personally delivered humanitarian assistance to 250 households, benefiting approximately 1,000 individuals, in close coordination with the Local Government Unit of Maasim.
Together, we were able to provide:
250 Lycean C.A.Re. (Common Ailment Remedy) Kits
250 Relief Goods Bags
792 bottles of 1L drinking water
85 containers of 6.6L drinking water
Basic medical consultation and health assistance
Handog Kalinga Para sa Sarangani was spearheaded by the Research, Extension, and Development Office (REDO) under the Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs, led by Dr. Claribel P. Avila. United by employees, students, volunteers, government agencies, and community partners, this initiative reflects the strength of collaboration in serving communities with compassion and purpose.
Through this collective effort, LPU Davao continues to advance the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals by promoting Good Health and Well-being (SDG 3), strengthening Sustainable Cities and Communities (SDG 11), fostering responsive community engagement aligned with Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions (SDG 16), and demonstrating that meaningful impact is achieved through Partnerships for the Goals (SDG 17).

LPU Davao marks its third consecutive year of commitment to community outreach and literacy development through the turnover of proceeds from Lycean Run 2026 to AFPLC Elementary School, its partner and receiving school.
In partnership with the Junior College HUMSS, which provided learning materials, the proceeds from Lycean Run 2026 were utilized for the donation of library furniture to help establish a more conducive and learner-friendly reading environment for young students.
This initiative supports efforts to strengthen access to learning resources and promote literacy among young learners, reinforcing the institution’s dedication to educational development and community engagement.
The activity aligns with the following United Nations Sustainable Development Goals: Quality Education (SDG 4), Reduced Inequalities (SDG 10), and Partnerships for the Goals (SDG 17).

Following the recent earthquake that impacted several communities in Mindanao, LPU Davao is extending support and encouraging collective action for affected communities.
We are currently accepting monetary donations, relief goods, and gently used clothing to help meet urgent needs on the ground. Contributions may include:
• Food packs (canned goods, ready-to-eat meals, and other non-perishable items)
• Bottled or clean drinking water
• Hygiene kits and personal care items (soap, alcohol, tissues, wipes, sanitary essentials)
• Clean clothes, blankets, and other basic necessities
Monetary donations may be sent through the official LPU Davao account indicated in this post, while physical donations may be brought directly to the Research and Extension Office (JPL 207) located at LPU Davao.
Your support, no matter the amount, can provide relief, comfort, and hope to those affected.

LPU Davao, in collaboration with PTAA and LoveYourself, will hold an HIV Awareness Seminar and Voluntary Free HIV Testing Activity on June 3, 2026, at 3:00 PM at the LPU AVR.
Promoting HIV awareness begins with education, compassion, and access to essential health services. This initiative aims to empower individuals with knowledge, encourage responsible health practices, and foster a community that values inclusivity, understanding, and well-being.
In support of Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 3: Good Health and Well-Being, this activity underscores the importance of preventive healthcare, health education, and accessible testing services as key components of a healthier society.
