[๐ก๐ข๐ง๐๐๐ ๐ข๐ ๐๐ข๐๐๐๐๐ฌ] This June 12, 2026 (Friday), the nation commemorates the 128th Araw ng Kalayaan (Independence Day), a Regular Holiday, honoring the courage and sacrifices of the heroes who fought for our freedom. Their enduring legacy reminds us that the liberties we enjoy today were won through generations of resilience, patriotism, and collective action.
The University of Southeastern Philippines (USeP) joins the Filipino people in celebrating this historic occasion and honoring the values of freedom, unity, and nationhood that continue to shape our collective future.
As a public institution of higher learning, USeP remains committed to nurturing informed citizens, advancing knowledge, and empowering communities through accessible and transformative education. Through teaching, research, innovation, and public service, the University contributes to the ongoing work of nation-building and the pursuit of a more just, inclusive, and progressive society.
In observance of Philippine Independence Day, work and classes across all USeP campuses are suspended.
DID YOU KNOW? The Philippines laid the groundwork to become the first constitutional republic in Asia when its independence was proclaimed on June 12, 1898, in Kawit, Cavite. During this historic declaration, the Philippine flag was officially unfurled for the first time, and the national anthemโthen known as the Marcha Filipina Magdaloโwas played. This pivotal event culminated in the formal inauguration of the First Philippine Republic on January 23, 1899.

The University of Southeastern Philippines Administration acknowledges and appreciates the initiative of the Graduating Class of 2026, through the United Statistics Students Organization and in collaboration with the student councils and student publications across campuses, in gathering the sentiments, concerns, and preferences of graduating students regarding the scheduled September 2026 Graduation Ceremony.
We recognize that graduation is a deeply meaningful milestone for every student and family. It is a moment of celebration, thanksgiving, and recognition of years of hard work, perseverance, and sacrifice. The University Administration sincerely understands the disappointment expressed by many respondents who hoped for an earlier ceremony.
At the same time, the University Administration wishes to clarify that the September 2026 Graduation Ceremony schedule forms part of the approved Academic Calendar for Academic Year 2025โ2026, which was approved and officially announced in 2025. The schedule was established after due consideration of the Universityโs academic timelines, administrative processes, operational requirements, and institutional commitments across campuses.
After a careful review of the concerns raised and the relevant academic, administrative, and logistical considerations, the University Administration confirms that the Graduation Ceremony will proceed in September 2026 as previously approved and announced.
We assure all graduating students that the date of the ceremony will not affect their status as graduates. Students who have satisfactorily completed all academic requirements as of 26 June 2026, as indicated in the School Calendar for Academic Year 2025โ2026, shall be considered graduates. Their academic credentials, including official documents needed for employment, further studies, scholarship applications, board examinations, or other purposes, will be made available and released upon request within the standard processing time.
The feedback generated from the survey is significant to the University. While the requested rescheduling may no longer be implemented for the Class of 2026, the insights raised by the graduating students will be considered in the preparation of future academic calendars and institutional planning processes.
We thank the Graduating Class of 2026 for raising this matter in a constructive and organized manner. Your engagement reflects your commitment not only to your own batch, but also to future generations of USeP students. The University remains committed to strengthening communication, improving consultation mechanisms, and making sure that student concerns are heard and considered in institutional decision-making.
We appeal for your understanding and cooperation as we proceed with the approved schedule, and we look forward to celebrating the achievements of the Class of 2026 in a dignified and meaningful Graduation Ceremony in September 2026.

The Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management (BSHM) 4th Year students of the University of Southeastern Philippines successfully conducted their โStay and Learnโ Activity held on May 18โ19, 2026 at Park Inn Hotel.
This two-day educational immersion served as a meaningful culmination activity of the studentsโ On-the-Job Training (OJT), where they were given the opportunity to showcase the knowledge, skills, professionalism, and experiences they gained from the hospitality industry.
Through hotel exposure, guided tours, immersion activities, and interaction with hotel professionals, the students deepened their understanding of real-world hospitality operations and luxury service standards. The activity also strengthened their communication skills, confidence, teamwork, and preparedness for their future careers in the hospitality industry.

In addition, a special Pinning Ceremony was conducted for the students who successfully passed the CGSP Training, officially recognizing them as Certified Guest Service Professionals (CGSP).
This activity also supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly:
