Rabies Awareness Month 2026 🐾
In support of Rabies Awareness Month this March 2026, School of Nursing students, together with their Clinical Instructor and the SHS Clinic Team, collaborated to create an informative bulletin board campaign for the SHS community. The students enthusiastically designed and prepared educational materials to help raise awareness about rabies prevention and responsible animal care.
The bulletin board, proudly displayed in front of the SHS Clinic, will serve as a visual health education material for learners and staff throughout the entire month of March, reminding everyone that rabies is preventable through proper awareness and timely action.

IN PHOTOS | World AIDS Day 2025
The Senior High School Clinic, in collaboration with the Senior Plus Red Cross Youth (RCY), commemorated World AIDS Day through a HIV/AIDS Awareness Activity and a Mass gathering rooted in faith, education, and advocacy.
The program opened with remarks from the Director of the University Clinics, Mrs. Jocelyn A. Ferraren, RN, MN followed by an HIV/AIDS awareness session led by the School Nurse Mary Gill P. Navales, RN, LPT. A Values and Respect Activity then engaged the community through a posted Community Wall, encouraging messages of compassion, inclusion, and dignity. Ms. Florence Alzate delivered a reflection highlighting the importance of respect and empathy toward people living with HIV.
The observance concluded with a commemorative cake-cutting ceremony, led by Head Nurse Katherine T. Matunog, RN, MN symbolizing shared commitments to Love and Support, Respect and Dignity, Education and Awareness, Ending Stigma, and Hope and Healing.
With sincere appreciation to the RCY Club Moderators, Ms. Florence Alzate and Ms. Jennyve Cabantog, and all the student leaders (RCY Presidents, Officers and Members), this initiative reflects the school’s commitment to Atenean values of compassion, respect, and service through meaningful health advocacy.
