BCSOM proudly showcases its cutting-edge research at the 47th Annual PSMID Convention, highlighting our commitment to scientific excellence, discovery, and the future of microbiology and infectious disease care in the Philippines. 𝗢𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱 𝗣𝗟𝗘: 𝗧𝗼𝗽 𝗠𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗼

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) released the results of the October 2025 Physicians Licensure Examination (PLE) on October 15, revealing a national passing rate of 77.50% as 4,570 out of 5,897 examinees successfully earned their licenses.

The examination was conducted on October 4, 5, 11, and 12, with top-performing institutions from Mindanao once again proving their excellence in medical education.

Leading the region is the Davao Medical School Foundation (DMSF), which posted an impressive 89.12% passing rate, with 262 passers out of 294 examinees. Following closely are other Mindanao-based medical schools that demonstrated outstanding results:

Top-Performing Medical Schools in Mindanao (October 2025 PLE, with at least 20 examinees)

1. 𝗗𝗮𝘃𝗮𝗼 𝗠𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗙𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 – 262/294 (89.12%)
2. 𝗔𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗼 𝗱𝗲 𝗭𝗮𝗺𝗯𝗼𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 – 45/51 (88.24%)

4. 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗼 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆–𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘄𝗶 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆 – 67/80 (83.75%)
5. 𝗟𝗶𝗰𝗲𝗼 𝗱𝗲 𝗖𝗮𝗴𝗮𝘆𝗮𝗻 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 – 22/27 (81.48%)
6. 𝗫𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗲𝗿 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 – 97/109 (88.99%)
7. 𝗝𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗮 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲 – 26/40 (65.00%)

These results highlight Mindanao’s growing reputation as a hub of medical excellence, producing competent and compassionate physicians ready to serve communities across the country.
