In today's world, diversity and inclusion are increasingly recognized as pillars of a progressive society. Among the diverse range of individuals that enrich our communities are those with disabilities and individuals on the autism spectrum. Their unique experiences, perspectives, and talents contribute to the vibrant tapestry of human existence. Nevertheless, societal attitudes and systemic barriers continue challenging their full inclusion and empowerment despite significant progress. This article sheds light on these organizations' programs, projects, and activities to help address social issues.

The Davao Jubilee Foundation (DJF) has emerged as one organization committed to handicapped persons. With its unwavering commitment to social empowerment and sustainable development, the foundation has spearheaded numerous programs, projects, and activities that have uplifted individuals and communities, creating a lasting positive impact. The foundation is committed to its physical rehabilitation program, prevention of deafness and health impairment program, eyewear program, and community-based relation program. These programs offer various services, including assessment, awareness, physical therapy, and training in using, caring for, and maintaining such assistive devices. Other than health relations programs, they are also committed to vocational programs. They launched the "The Prosthesis Workshop' in 1993, but in 2004 with a partnership with Handicap International and USAID, the Prosthesis Workshop was expanded; they launched the 4-year "Wheelchairs for Mindanao Project." With the said project, the Orthopedic Workshop & Wheelchair Distribution Unit (OWWDU) produces custom-made wheelchairs, supportive seating, prostheses, and orthoses for needy persons, in that they are a Region 11 distributor of wheelchairs. Today, DJF continues there work to embody a profound commitment to social empowerment, sustainable development, and community well-being. The foundation has catalyzed positive change through its multifaceted initiatives, providing individuals and communities with the tools, resources, and opportunities to thrive. As it continues to expand its reach and impact, the Davao Jubilee Foundation remains committed to its service. It inspires others to join in its mission of creating a more equitable and inclusive society in Davao and beyond.

On the other hand, in the realm of autism intervention and support, the Davao Autism Intervention Center Foundation, Inc. (DAICFI) stands out as a pioneering organization committed to improving the lives of individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and their families. With a focus on intervention, education, and advocacy, DAICFI has been at the forefront of providing comprehensive programs, projects, and activities that promote inclusivity, understanding, and empowerment for individuals with autism in the Davao region. DAICFI offers diverse programs and services, including the "Early Intervention Program '' and "Children's Program, "which recognize the critical importance of early identification and intervention for children with autism. Through behavioral management, communication, self-help, and adaptation and socialization, the program aims to enhance the developmental outcomes of children of different ages, providing them with a strong foundation for their future growth. In addition, as the children mature, the DAICFI offers a "Transition Program," which provides self-care, household activities, integration with the school to practice social skills and pre-vocational & vocational activities; the program can lead to employment opportunities and greater independence. Through vocational training, job placement assistance, and skill development programs, the center empowers individuals to become productive members of society, promoting their self-esteem and self-reliance. They also accept trainees for caregiving, psychiatric nursing, special education, psychology studies, and clinical research programs.
Furthermore, DAICFI undertakes various projects and activities that create awareness, orientation, management, and training about autism spectrum disorder for parents, guardian caregivers, students, and other professionals.DAICFI actively advocates to ensure that the rights and needs of individuals with autism are recognized and protected. The DAICFI's programs, projects, and activities on the autism community in Davao have been profound. Furthermore, DAICFI's efforts have contributed to a more accepting and inclusive society. The center's work has helped dispel stigma and create a supportive environment that fosters the full.

In conclusion, both the Davao Jubilee Center and the Davao Autism Intervention Center Foundation, Inc. exemplify the power of compassion, dedication, and community engagement in positively impacting marginalized individuals' lives. The Davao Jubilee Center's diverse range of programs, initiatives, and community partnerships have empowered countless individuals, particularly women, children, persons with disabilities, and indigenous communities, by providing education, healthcare, livelihood training, awareness, and advocacy. Similarly, the Davao Autism Intervention Center Foundation, Inc. has been at the forefront of autism support. By providing various initiatives, the center has significantly improved the developmental outcomes, social inclusion, and overall well-being of individuals with autism and their families. Both organizations are beacons of hope and transformation, exemplifying the immense value of fostering inclusivity, understanding, and empowerment in creating a more just and compassionate society. Their tireless efforts serve as an inspiration, encouraging others to join in the pursuit of building a more equitable and supportive world for all. As one community, it is our time to unite and support organizations dedicated to empowering and uplifting individuals with disabilities and autism, creating a more inclusive and accepting society for all.

In the diverse terrain of Asia's jewel of the orient, renowned for the richness of its culture and the beauty of its landscape, a number of organizations have been established to shed light and inspire the community as well as the individuals who are left in the darkness. The Philippine Business for Social Progress (PBSP), the Philippine Accessibility Disability Services (PADS), and the Philippine LGBT Chamber of Commerce (PLCC) are three great organizations that exist in our country. This article details their activities, projects, and programs that the organization has carried out over the years.

Philippine Business for Social Progress:

This organization was founded in 1970 and has included three as one of the numerous projects it has put into place. Their programs have three main focuses: education, the development of livelihood and businesses, and corporate social responsibility. The PSBP made investments in a number of initiatives with a focus on education and learning under the Educational component. In addition to providing money for scholarships, the aforementioned initiatives also help build schools and libraries in underserved areas. The aforementioned organization, in cooperation with the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) of the Australian Government, built a classroom on January 31, 2023.

Additionally, the organization also engaged in inclusive business for livelihood and enterprise development, which seeks to extend economic prospects through promoting opportunities, helping individuals with their companies, and collaborating with organizations. Additionally, one of the initiatives that the organization has carried out under the heading of corporate social responsibility is upskilling and worker development. PSBP offers them support and business-related training. The aforementioned program includes the choices and deeds people carry out when conducting business in a moral, expert, and knowledgeable manner.

Philippine Accessibility Disability Services:

The mission of this 1983-founded organization, which has its headquarters in Cebu City, Philippines, is to foster the growth and development of the PWD community as independent, integrated, and empowered members of society. In order to promote social inclusion and the human rights of people with disabilities, PADS collaborates closely with volunteers, partners, and stakeholders on initiatives. This represents a few of the several initiatives that the organization has put in place. These three areas include employment and means of subsistence, health and rehabilitation, and assistive technology. Sports4all (2020) and initiative Happy Feet (2019) were implemented as part of PADS's initiative on assistive technology, which seeks to help individuals with disabilities gain access to and guidance for assistive technology services and products including wheelchairs and hearing aids. Furthermore, the organization has launched two projects, Mandaue blind massage (2021) and Sports4all (2020), in the area of Employment and Livelihood. Several skilled massage therapists who are visually challenged make up Mandaue Blind Massage. This PADS effort includes a number of initiatives, such as financial assistance, counseling, and training, to help and advise people on how to manage and enhance their livelihoods. Additionally, the House Rehab Therapy (2021) program, part of the PADS' Health and Rehabilitation initiative, strives to make it easier for our PWDs to obtain medical services like rehabilitation. Programs for physical, occupational, and speech therapy, as well as programs for health policy, are all included in the project.

Philippine LGBT Chamber of Commerce:

Lastly, PLCC was established in 2016 and has as its guiding principles the following: excellence, leadership, entrepreneurial attitude, development, diversity, pride, learning and discovery, and integrity. This organization certainly succeeds in promoting a diverse workplace that welcomes everyone, regardless of s*xual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, or s*x features. They conduct additional programs to make sure that everyone can have equal access to resources like everyone else in order to create a more progressive society. The project campaign (2019) is the first initiative under the category of workplace diversity and inclusion. It aims to promote LGBT-friendly policies and practices that encourage diversity and inclusion in the workplace. The project's main objective is to offer new guidelines, instruction, and resources to the LGBT community. In addition, the Lab Network (2022) project is a part of the Business Development and Support program and aims to support and give resources for LGBT-owned firms in the Philippines. The last project is (2021), which falls under the community development category. The program's main objectives are to assist participants in improving their well-being while providing opportunities and a secure environment where support and guidance are obvious. The organization has suggested a number of community activities, including those that promote the LGBT community in the Philippines and provide health, social, and educational services.

In conclusion, The Philippine Business for Social Progress focuses on education and learning under the Educational component while also engaging in inclusive business for livelihood and company growth. Mandaue Blind Massage is a division of the Philippine Accessibility Disability Services and is run by a number of qualified visually impaired massage therapists. This PADS endeavor consists of a variety of programs, including financial aid, counseling, and training, to assist and guide people on how to manage and improve their livelihoods. Last but not least, there is the Philippine LGBT Chamber of Commerce, which succeeds in creating a diverse workplace that accepts everyone, regardless of s*xual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, or s*x traits. These are a few of the institutions that make up our country. These organizations offer wonderful illustrations of inclusion, variety, and freedom of expression. By putting a stop to our hostility and starting to support these groups, which stand for the future of the next generation, let us all fight to bring about change as members of a single community.

Amnesty International and Freedom House are globally renowned organizations dedicated to promoting and protecting human rights. With a shared commitment to defending individuals and advocating for justice, these organizations have spearheaded numerous projects and initiatives. This article explores some of their ongoing projects and programs, highlighting their significant contributions to advancing human rights worldwide.

Amnesty International: Current Projects

Amnesty International is a non-governmental organization that operates in more than 150 countries and focuses on various aspects of human rights. Their website offers insights into their current projects and initiatives. One such project centers around human rights education, aiming to equip individuals with the knowledge and skills necessary to become advocates for human rights. Through workshops, training programs, and educational materials, Amnesty International strives to raise awareness and foster cultural respect for human rights in communities worldwide.

Another noteworthy endeavor by Amnesty International is its work in international justice. With a commitment to combating impunity and ensuring accountability for human rights violations, Amnesty International actively supports legal mechanisms and processes that bring perpetrators to justice. The organization plays a crucial role in promoting the rule of law and seeking justice for victims by conducting investigations, documenting human rights abuses, and advocating for fair trials.

Freedom House: Democracy and Human Rights

Freedom House, a non-profit organization based in the United States, focuses on promoting democracy and defending human rights globally. Their initiatives encompass various areas, including research, advocacy, and emergency assistance programs.

One of their notable reports is the "Democracy Project," a comprehensive analysis of the state of democracy worldwide. A report published in 2018 highlights the challenges and opportunities faced by democracies across the globe. By assessing indicators such as civil liberties, political rights, and electoral processes, Freedom House provides valuable insights into the progress and setbacks in democratic governance.

Furthermore, Freedom House organizes events like the Mark Palmer Forum, named after a former US diplomat and democracy advocate. This forum serves as a platform for leaders, activists, and experts to discuss pressing issues related to democracy and human rights. By fostering dialogue and exchanging ideas, the Mark Palmer Forum contributes to the collective efforts to promote democratic values and human rights.

Collaborative Efforts and Emergency Assistance

In addition to their projects, Amnesty International and Freedom House collaborate on various initiatives to amplify their impact. One such collaboration is the Human Rights Support Mechanism Program, which assists individuals and organizations facing threats or persecution due to their human rights work. By offering rapid response grants, security training, and advocacy support, this program aids those at risk and strengthens the resilience of human rights defenders.

Amnesty International and Freedom House are leading organizations in the global fight for human rights. Through their diverse projects and programs, they strive to raise awareness, promote accountability, and advocate for protecting individuals' fundamental rights. Their commitment to education, justice, and democracy has far-reaching effects, empowering individuals and communities to become catalysts for change. By supporting these organizations and staying informed about their initiatives, we can all contribute to advancing human rights and creating a more just and inclusive world.
