All enrolled students of Calinan National High School are qualified to vote. On election day, students should submit a valid school ID or class registration form as proof of eligibility to vote. It is necessary for all students to vote because their votes will determine the future leaders of the school.

𝑬𝒍𝒆𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝑷𝒓𝒐𝒄𝒆𝒔𝒔

The election will take place through electronic voting platform. The students will be provided a particular time span to vote to allow all a chance to express their opinions. Once voting, the votes will be counted in an open way, with candidates' representatives also present to oversee the counting for accuracy. After validation, winners will be declared.

Before election day arrives, students should take the opportunity to research the candidates and their agendas. The Meeting de Avance was successfully held on February 24, 2025, at the Calinan National High School Gym to allow candidates to introduce themselves and present their party platforms. The event was organized by LG COMEA, led by Elmer Suarez Jr., and attended by the class presidents and vice presidents from each section of CNHS. Its objective was to showcase each candidate’s platform and advocacies as future leaders of CNHS.

The program started at 1:00 PM with an opening remark from Elmer Suarez Jr., followed by Jonnie Villano and Mica Membrillos, who served as hosts. Candidates running for various SSLG positions were then introduced.

The first party presented was SALIG (Students Advocating Leadership through Integrity and Good Governance), which aims to lead for the better, uphold honesty and transparency, and empower students. Next was Voice Partylist, which focuses on turning words into action. Each party introduced its candidates, from grade-level representatives to national positions.
Candidates were given one minute each to answer questions. The grade-level representatives answered first, followed by national candidates, who responded to two questions within the same time limit. The event concluded with a presidential debate between SALIG and Voice candidates, where each was given one minute to present their advocacy and two minutes for rebuttals.
To wrap up the event, Ma’am Ruby delivered an inspiring speech to the aspiring leaders. Finally, SSLG President Stiephen T. Camarines gave closing remarks, offering encouragement and support to all candidates.

The Meeting de Avance was a resounding success, effectively informing students about the candidates and their platforms. It promoted a sense of responsibility and encouraged students to make well-informed decisions in the upcoming election. Overall, it was a meaningful experience in democracy and leadership.

Empowering the future leaders of tomorrow! 🌟 On February 20, 2025, the LG Comea of Calinan National High School successfully conducted a mock election, giving students a hands-on experience in preparation for the upcoming 2025 Supreme Secondary Learner Government Election.

The mock election helped instill a sense of civic responsibility among students, showing them that their voices matter and that they have the power to create a positive change.
