The Davao City National High School Special Program in Sports is part of the nationwide program which caters to students with talent and skills in the field of sports.

This program is one of the largest co-curricular activities that complements the formal academic curriculum. The objectives of the program are to enhance athletic potential, to prepare the learners for higher learning, and to achieve school-sport balance. The school is offering a special secondary school program that is centered on sports and covers a wide range of sports disciplines. It also offers extensive opportunities to currently enrolled DCNHS SPS students/athletes in competitive and structured school sports activities each year such as Unit Meet, DCAA Meet, DAVRAA Meet, and Palarong Pambansa.

DCNHS SPS OFFERED INDIVIDUAL/DUAL SPORTS:
Athletics, Arnis, Badminton, Billiards, Boxing, Chess, Dance Sports, Gymnastics, Tennis, Table Tennis, Taekwondo, Swimming and Wushu

DCNHS SPS OFFERED TEAM SPORTS:
Basketball, Futsal, Soccer, Sepak Takraw, and Volleyball

WHO WILL QUALIFY FOR THE PROGRAM?
The program is open to all Filipino high school students who will meet the following requirements
1. Must have potential / skills in more than one of the sports that we offer;
2. Must have participated in any sports competition as attested by the school sports coach in Elementary;
3. Must pass the physical test, and;
4. Must submit the following documents for evaluation:
a. Photocopy of School Form 9 or Report Card of Proficiency Level in PE and Developing level in any subject, with a General Average of 85
b. Certificate of participation to any DepEd sports competitions;
c. PSA / NSO birth Certificate

Open Try outs for those interested students. Volleyball Boys Team "Green&Gold Spikers" is looking for interested high school players who are hardworking, disciplined, goal-oriented and is willing to be trained.
1. Must be at least 5' 9" and above in height and with skills.
2. Must be born on 2006 and up
3. Schedule is on June 15-16, 2023 8 am to 5 pm.
4. Do not forget to bring your game attire.
