𝗣𝗔𝗦𝗬𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗘 𝗘𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗣𝗶𝗹𝗼𝘁 𝗧𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗵𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗗𝗮𝘃𝗮𝗼 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲 (𝗖𝗛𝗢)

PASYENTE-Project for Dengue (Patient-centered AI System for Early Detection and Prevention of Dengue), led by Dr. Cinmayiii A. Garillos-Manliguez (Project Leader), is a customer-focused, household-level system designed to detect dengue early, prevent severe cases, and support local health reporting.

This follows a collaboration meeting focused on strengthening dengue prevention and surveillance in Davao City. PASYENTE has secured support and established a partnership with the DAVAO City Health Office through the efforts of Dr. Tomas Miguel S. Ababon (Officer-In-Charge, City Health Office), Farrah Mae Clamor (Head, CESU), and Melodina R. Babante (Coordinator, Tropical Disease Division).

The pilot implementation will be conducted in Barangay Talomo Proper, with support from the City Government. Key agreements were reached on coordination protocols, schedule alignment, and the direction of pilot testing and future PASYENTE activities. After the pilot phase, PASYENTE will seek endorsement from the DOH (Department of Health) to expand its community-level impact.

This collaboration represents a data-driven, community-based, and sustainable approach to dengue prevention in Davao City. Together with the City Government and local health units, PASYENTE invites all stakeholders to support this initiative and help strengthen barangay-level coordination for a safer, healthier community.

The PASYENTE Project for Dengue of the University of the Philippines-Mindanao has been invited at the Dengue Media Roundtable Discussion, organized by the Philippine Pediatric Society, Inc., along with other key speakers.

"Prof. Cinmayii Manliguez, UP Mindanao project lead, highlighted that this (PASYENTE) project is the first in the Philippines to utilize artificial intelligence (AI) operations research and leverage health expertise to improve health care, especially for patients suspected of having dengue.

This includes a mobile and web application for dengue screening and patient support. Three features influenced by AI technology are the dengue pre-assessment form, AI-powered dengue pre-diagnosis, and search for healthcare facilities."

After receiving your AI-powered dengue symptom pre-assessment, our app provides a list of available healthcare facilities in your area—sorted based on your preferences for distance, cost, and waiting time, thanks to our advanced mathematical model.

We designed this feature to make finding care easier and to encourage Davaoeños to seek medical help without worry. 🫶

Right now, it’s available in the Buhangin District, and we hope to expand it soon!

This suggestion was first raised during the Soft Launching of the PASYENTE Apps February last year. Ever since, we have taken strides to make this happen.

Thanks to the conversations with our stakeholders, we continuously discover new ways to make the app more user-friendly for the Davaoeños, and soon, the whole Philippines. 🔥

- Communicate with the research team if any issues arise during the task.

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in recording data.
- Punctual and reliable, with the ability to stick to a schedule.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
- Professional and respectful in a hospital environment.
- Basic experience with Excel (data entry, basic functions).
- Prior experience in data collection or working in a healthcare setting is a plus, but not required.
