UP Mindanao Gender and Development

On November 7, 2025, the UP Mindanao Gender and Development (GAD) Office donated 60 pcs of sanitary napkins to the UP Mindanao Pre-Medical Society (UPMin PreMedSoc), a newly established academic and service-oriented student organization in UP Mindanao.

This donation supports their sanitary donation drive, an initiative that promotes menstrual health awareness and advocates for accessible hygiene products for those in need.

RECAP | CHANCELLOR’S WELCOMING SPEECH

Curiosity, Critical Thinking, Citizenship, and Compassion–Prof. Lyre Anne E. Murao provides a metaphorical framework of a ‘compass’ to guide the first years throughout their incoming years in UP Mindanao.

Earlier today, the Office of Gender and Development (GAD) and the Office of Anti-Sexual Harassment (OASH) participated in the First Year Student Orientation 2025 to raise awareness about gender sensitivity, inclusivity, and student safety.

The orientation was headed by Prof. Genevieve J. Quintero, GAD Coordinator, and Prof. Rodgessa A. Lopez, OASH Coordinator, who shared valuable information about the roles of the respective offices and how students can access support and resources. 💜
