The program commenced with an opening message from Dr. Enrico C. Yee Jr., CPA, LPT, Program Head of BS Accountancy, who emphasized the significance of continuous learning and holistic growth. The first speaker, Mrs. Dari Jayne Espera-Solis, Channel Operations Executive of Nestlรฉ Philippines, Inc. and Head of AAA Activation Machine, Inc. โ€“ Visayas and Mindanao, inspired the students by sharing her professional journey. She highlighted the crucial role of human resources in the accounting profession, the importance of effective communication, and the value of soft skills in advancing careers. Her engaging session concluded with an open forum, where students actively participated by raising questions and sharing reflections on the discussion.

The second speaker, Dr. Nikko Lara Caminade, CPA, Entrepreneur, and Immediate Past President of the Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA) Davao Chapter, offered valuable insights on facing challenges in the corporate world. He underscored the importance of setting non-negotiablesโ€”particularly in balancing academics, career, and personal relationships. Through his candid sharing of struggles and triumphs, he encouraged students to persevere and remain focused on their goals despite the obstacles.

Both sessions left a profound impact on the participants, equipping them with professional insights, practical strategies, and life lessons that extend beyond the classroom. The event reaffirmed JPIA-USePโ€™s commitment to developing not only academically excellent students but also well-rounded future professionals who can lead, communicate, and excel in diverse fields.

The University of Southeastern Philippines College of Business Administration (๐”๐’๐ž๐-๐‚๐๐€) proudly celebrated a historic milestone during the Testimonial Dinner and Meeting with CPA board exam Passers on June 13, 2025, at Pinnacle Hotel and Suites. The event, themed โ€œCelebrating Excellence: A Tribute to Our First Batch of CPA Board Exam Passers,โ€ was a heartfelt recognition of the perseverance, dedication, and outstanding achievements of the pioneering BS Accountancy graduates who successfully passed the May 2025 CPA Licensure Examination.

The program began with a warm welcome and an inspirational message from Dr. Edeliza S. Gonzales, Dean of the College of Business Administration (CBA), followed by the introduction of CPA board passers by Dr. Enrico C. Yee, BS Accountancy Program Head. A special message was delivered by USeP's immediate past president, Dr. Lourdes C. Generalao, under whose leadership the BS Accountancy program was launched.

University President Dr. Bonifacio G. Gabales, SUC President IV, extended his heartfelt congratulations and expressed unwavering support for the new CPAs. Dr. Rosfe Corlae D. Badoy, Public Affairs Division (PAD) director and CBA faculty member, introduced the esteemed guest speaker, Atty. Rolland C. Pondoc, former Commission on Audit (COA) Commissioner and National President of the Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA), who delivered an inspiring talk. He reminded the passers that conquering the Certified Public Accountant Licensure Examination (CPALE)โ€”one of the countryโ€™s toughest licensure examsโ€”is a testament to their resilience and determination.

A highlight of the evening was the testimonial messages from the newly certified CPAs. Mr. Axelvhox D. Ompod, a Top 6 CPALE passer, shared the challenges he faced in completing the four-year course. A proud โ€œIskolar ng Bayan,โ€ he emphasized that simply passing the exam was already a blessingโ€”but ranking in the top 10 was a dream come true. Meanwhile, Ms. Lyle Joyce M. Saturinas, also a Top 6 CPALE passer, recounted her unexpected journey into accountancy. Initially planning to pursue a different course, a conversation with friends led her to apply for a USeP scholarship. Graduating Summa Cum Laude and now ranking among the topnotchers, she reflected on how fate guided her to the right courseโ€”and the right place.
On the other hand, Ms. Jyreen Fabiah O. Santillan, among the first three graduates of the BSA program, took pride in contributing to USePโ€™s legacy. Passing the exam on her first attempt, she regarded it as both an honor and a benchmark of excellence for future students to emulate and be inspired by.

The evening was not just a celebration of success but also a moment of inspiration. The heartfelt stories of perseverance and triumph deeply resonated with the audience, particularly with current and future students aspiring to follow in their footsteps. Beyond recognition, the event fostered camaraderie and connection, providing a platform for new CPAs to engage with faculty members, administrators, and fellow studentsโ€”further strengthening the accounting community within USeP.

The University extends its gratitude to the faculty, staff, and families who supported the graduates throughout their journey.
