The English Majors Organization (EMO) showcased excellence and distinction during the competitions held yesterday, February 28, 2026, marking another milestone of academic and creative achievement.

The English majors proved their mastery in research and presentation, securing the Champion and First Runner-Up titles in Paper Presentation, alongside another Champion and First Runner-Up distinction in Poster Presentation. Their competence in pedagogical practice was further highlighted as they achieved Champion in Lesson Planning, demonstrating their readiness as future educators.

Creativity and performance also took center stage. The group earned First Runner-Up in Jazz Chant, while their expressive delivery in Storytelling garnered Second Runner-Up. Intellectual excellence was equally evident as participants secured Second Runner-Up in the Quiz Bee, showcasing their knowledge and critical thinking. Adding vibrancy to the celebration, the English majors captivated audiences with their “Mama Mia” Spoof performance, achieving Second Runner-Up and bringing energy and artistry to the stage.

These achievements reflect EMO’s unwavering commitment to holistic development, fostering not only academic competence but also creativity, performance, and professional growth among its members. Guided by faith and dedication, the organization humbly offers all glory to God for these remarkable victories.

𝐀𝐥𝐞𝐱𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐚 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐒𝐉𝐏𝟐𝐂𝐃 𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐢𝐧 𝐏𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐲 𝐃𝐞𝐛𝐮𝐭

𝑺𝒐𝒑𝒉𝒊𝒂 𝑲𝒓𝒚𝒔𝒔 𝑨𝒍𝒆𝒙𝒂𝒏𝒅𝒓𝒐𝒗𝒂 of the 𝑪𝒐𝒍𝒍𝒆𝒈𝒆 𝒐𝒇 𝑻𝒆𝒂𝒄𝒉𝒆𝒓 𝑬𝒅𝒖𝒄𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 made a splash at the entrance of the world of pageantry when she was crowned 𝟏𝒔𝒕 𝑹𝒖𝒏𝒏𝒆𝒓 𝑼𝒑 in the coronation night of the Ms. SJPIICD 2026. In addition to the sash and the crown, Sophia used her first pageant performance to advance a critical goal: 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒓𝒆𝒈𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒂𝒍 𝒆𝒙𝒑𝒂𝒏𝒔𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒐𝒇 𝐒𝐭. 𝐉𝐨𝐡𝐧 𝐏𝐚𝐮𝐥 𝐈𝐈 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐃𝐚𝐯𝐚𝐨 (𝐒𝐉𝐏𝟐𝐂𝐃).

During the competition, Alexandrova, who also won the Best in Academics Promotion Award, raised an outcry for SJP2CD's expansion in the Davao Region and emphasized that affordable, quality education is vital to creating life-changing opportunities in Davao City and beyond.

On January 21, 2026, the 4th-Year pre-service teachers of the English Language Program embarked on their teaching journey. They were deployed to Daniel R. Aguinaldo National High School for their Field Study and Teaching Internship. Accompanied by Mr. Darryl Imperial, the English Language Program Head, the students arrived with excitement and hope as they prepared for their new roles as future teachers.

On behalf of Daniel R. Aguinaldo National High School, the students were warmly welcomed by Christine Mae F. Ebrado, the Field Study Coordinator of DRANHS. They were greeted with kind words and encouragement as the school opened its doors to guide and support them as they grow in their teaching journey.
