Hello, 𝙣𝙚𝙩𝙞𝙯𝙚𝙣𝙨!

With the hit of the pandemic, we, BS Psych 4A, are one of the many individuals who have shifted from the face-to-face learning setup to now in an online platform. With all these challenges and uncertainties that came our way, we would like to inform you that we will be graduates who have surpassed the academic college struggles of this life in the coming month. With this, we would like to request a few words from your hearts to write a letter for us to read as we are about to face a new chapter in our life soon. We know that the future may be scary, but it’s your affirmations, kind words, and efforts that are the reasons that keep us going. 4 interns namely, Ms. Elisha Carlisle Deduyo (Theories of Personality Best Intern), Ms. Lovely Joy Nacion and Ms. Zahedah Zailon (Graduate School Best Interns), and Ms. Hannah Yuayan (San Pedro College Main HR Department Best Intern) proved themselves through different site rotations, but, it doesn't diminish the efforts that the Psych 4A students have exerted. Your win is also our win! 💛

GUARDING THE FUTURE: Open the Schools

Our town's elementary school recently opened for limited face-to-face classes. Entering the school gates made me extremely reminiscent of my past student life, which once was mundane, was now an important relic for the history books.

What was supposed to be a week-long break turned into a two-year farewell from every student's second home. I asked these kids what they were thankful for with the opening of the school, with which one replied, "Yehey, wala nay modules."

The four-cornered classrooms were full of dreams and potential, having shaped countless significant individuals that made a mark in their lifetime. The room was not only a place for learning, but it also provided protection that made the outside world come to a halt once you got into its safe space.

Mothers- the ilaw ng tahanan and the common guardians of the elementary school kids usually flock together as they await the dismissal of their little ones. They are on guard and keeping watch for their kids, who are not yet ripe enough to care and be responsible on their own.

Some, however, are forced to look out for themselves at a young age. Becoming one's sentinel for the dreams they hope to achieve in the future. When asked if it was tough, a girl answered, “Kaya raman te, gusto gyud ko makatuon!”
