📢 Advisory | No Lunch-Out Policy

In line with our commitment to ensuring the safety, security, and well-being of all learners, the No Lunch-Out Policy at Jose Vicente Ferriolas Elementary School officially took effect on July 3, 2026 and remains in full force and effect.

This policy helps provide a safer and more secure school environment by keeping learners within school premises during lunch breaks, minimizing exposure to potential risks outside the campus, and allowing school personnel to better monitor and protect students throughout the school day.
Advantages of the No Lunch-Out Policy: ✅ Enhances learner safety and security
✅ Strengthens supervision and accountability during school hours
✅ Reduces the risk of accidents and untoward incidents outside the school premises
✅ Promotes punctuality and orderly school operations

🎒 Bringing Back the Magic of Reading: From Our Generation to Theirs 📚
​There are some childhood memories that stay with you forever. I still remember being in Grades 5 and 6, eagerly waiting for the mobile library bus to roll into our school. The excitement of choosing a book, keeping it safe for a week or two, and returning it just to borrow another one—it was pure magic!
​Decades later, the City Government of Davao and the Davao City Library and Information Center are keeping this beautiful tradition alive. Seeing the mobile library bus today brings back such a wave of nostalgia! But this time, it’s even better—with an even wider selection of books catering to all young learners from Kindergarten to Grade 6.
​Thank you to all our wonderful partners for giving our kids the chance to build these same beautiful core memories. Let’s inspire the next generation of readers!

PREPARED WHEN IT MATTERS MOST

Jose Vicente Ferriols actively participated in the Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) held on June 18, 2026, demonstrating his support for disaster preparedness and community resilience.

The NSED is a nationwide initiative designed to educate the public and ensure that individuals and organizations are ready to respond effectively in the event of a major earthquake.

By joining this activity, Ferriols emphasized the importance of awareness, proper coordination, and the implementation of safety protocols such as the “Duck, Cover, and Hold On” technique.

During the drill, participants practiced evacuation procedures, emergency communication, and first response actions to simulate real-life earthquake scenarios. Ferriols’ involvement served as a reminder that preparedness requires collective effort and consistent practice.

Events like the NSED strengthen the readiness of communities across the country, helping minimize risks and protect lives when natural disasters occur.

CONTINUATION OF BLENDED LEARNING
​To all Parents, Guardians, and Learners of Jose Vicente Ferriols Elementary School:
​Following the recent earthquake, the Office of the City Building Official (OCBO) is still finalizing structural safety clearances.
​As of this time, Jose Vicente Ferriols Elementary School has not yet received its official clearance from the OCBO. While initial assessments may have already been conducted, the final declaration on the safety of school buildings rests solely with the OCBO after a thorough review of inspection results. Therefore, face-to-face classes remain suspended.
​🔄 NOTICE: BLENDED LEARNING MODALITY shall continue until further notice.
​Please wait for our next official advisory regarding the return to in-person classes. The safety of our learners, teachers, and staff remains our top priority.
