DAVAO CITY โ Highlighting the Divisionโs commitment to producing globally competitive and character-driven learners, the Schools Division Office (SDO) of Davao City joined Davao City National High School (DCNHS) in celebrating its 96th Commencement Exercises at the SMX Convention Center, SM Lanang Premier.
Under the national theme, โPilipinong Nagsipagtapos: Handang Mamuno nang May Kakayahan at Mabuting Pagkatao,โ the ceremony honored 1,904 graduates from Batch 2026. This significant cohort represents one of the largest batches under the Divisionโs wing, showcasing the city's robust educational progress and the resilience of its learners.
The event was graced by key officials of DepEd Davao City, led by Schools Division Superintendent Reynante A. Solitario, CESO V. His presence underscored the Divisionโs support for its flagship institutions and the collective effort to ensure that no student is left behind.
Joining the Superintendent were other notable leaders who have been instrumental in the Divisionโs strategic goals:
Dr. Johnito O. Galan, Public Schools District Supervisor (Cluster 1)
Evelyn E. Magno, DCNHS Principal IV
Dr. Phelma Camacho and Mr. Jed I. Bete, Assistant Principals
Reinforcing the Divisionโs goal of producing "graduates with a purpose," the keynote was delivered by Lenin C. Duenas Jr., Managing Director of ING Bank N.V. Manila Branch. As a product of the Davao City public school system (Batch 1984), Duenas served as a living testament to the quality of education provided by DepEd Davao City, urging the new graduates to lead with integrity in the global arena.
The Schools Division Office extends its commendation to the Senior High School Faculty and Staff of DCNHS. Their tireless dedication reflects the Division's core values of service and excellence, ensuring that the logistical and academic demands of such a massive commencement were met with seamless precision.
As these 1,904 graduates transition to higher education and the workforce, DepEd Davao City remains steadfast in its mission. These "City High" graduates depart not just with diplomas, but as the embodiment of the Division's vision: Filipinos who are ready to lead with competence and a heart for the nation.
Congratulations to Batch 2026!
