Today, we solemnly celebrate the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, honoring the glorious moment when Mary, by the grace of God, was assumed body and soul into Heaven.

As we commemorate this sacred feast, may we look to Mary as a model of faith, humility, obedience, and unwavering devotion to God. Her life reminds us to trust in the Lord’s plan and to respond to His call with a faithful and generous heart.

May the Blessed Virgin Mary, our Mother and Queen, continue to intercede for us and lead us ever closer to her Son, Jesus Christ.

The Holy Cross of Agdao Supreme Student Government proudly joins the celebration of 𝗞𝗔𝗗𝗔𝗬𝗔𝗪𝗔𝗡 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲—a vibrant celebration of the rich culture, enduring traditions, indigenous heritage, and diverse peoples that make Davao truly extraordinary. With the spirit of “𝗜𝗡𝗗𝗔𝗞-𝗜𝗡𝗗𝗔𝗞 𝗞𝗜𝗧𝗔, 𝗠𝗔𝗚𝗞𝗔𝗨𝗦𝗔!”, let us come together and celebrate not only the festivity, but also the stories, identity, and heritage passed down from one generation to another.

Kadayawan reminds us that our differences are not barriers but treasures that enrich the cultural tapestry of our beloved Dabaw. It is a time to honor the 11 ethnolinguistic groups of Davao, recognize the wisdom of our Indigenous Peoples, and appreciate the traditions that continue to shape the heart and soul of our city.

Beyond names and slogans, this campaign is an opportunity to listen to ideas, examine platforms, and recognize the kind of leadership that students believe can represent them.

The regional event gathered talented young artists from various schools, providing a platform to creatively promote this year’s Nutrition Month theme, “Nutrisyon at Kalikasan, Ating Pangalagaan.” Through artistic expression, the competition highlighted the vital connection between proper nutrition, environmental stewardship, and sustainable community development.

The successful staging of the regional competition was made possible through the collective efforts and unwavering support of 𝗠𝗿. 𝗥𝘂𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗹 𝗕𝗼𝗻𝗻 𝗩. 𝗡𝗼𝘃𝗮𝗹, 𝗟𝗣𝗧, 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗶𝗿𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗲𝗳 𝗘𝘅𝗲𝗰𝘂𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗗𝗮𝘃𝗮𝗼 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗚𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗘𝗻𝘃𝗶𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁; 𝗠𝘀. 𝗥𝗲𝘁𝘀𝗲𝗯𝗲𝘁𝗵 𝗠. 𝗚𝘂𝗲𝘃𝗮𝗿𝗮, 𝗧𝗗𝗠, 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗗𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝗹, whose leadership and commitment strengthened the partnership among the participating institutions.

Special recognition is likewise extended to 𝗠𝘀. 𝗔𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗲𝗹𝘆𝗻 𝗔. 𝗙𝗹𝗼𝗿𝗲𝘀, 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗖𝗹𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗖𝗼𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗼𝗮𝗰𝗵 of the Participants, for her dedication, guidance, and commitment in preparing the contestants for the regional competition. Her mentorship enabled the participants to confidently communicate meaningful messages through their artworks while embodying the values of creativity, environmental responsibility, and nutrition advocacy.

More than an artistic competition, the Regional Poster Making Contest served as a celebration of youth participation, collaboration, and advocacy. It reaffirmed that through the united efforts of educational institutions, government agencies, and youth organizations, the vision of a healthier population and a greener environment can become a shared reality. Indeed, the message of “Nutrisyon at Kalikasan, Ating Pangalagaan” continues to inspire communities to create lasting change through knowledge, creativity, and collective action.
