Division Multiplier Training for ALS Teachers on the Implementation of Be Your Own Boss (BYOB) and Work-Based Learning (WBL)

April 4–6, 2025 | The Ritz Hotel

A successful 3-day training was conducted for ALS teachers in the division to deepen their understanding and equip them for the effective implementation of Work-Based Learning (WBL) and Be Your Own Boss (BYOB).

The training was filled with meaningful learning sessions, collaboration, and hands-on demonstrations that empowered our ALS teachers to bring WBL and BYOB to life in their respective learning centers.

Teachers were able to:

✅Learn effective methodologies, strategies, and techniques for delivering WBL and BYOB

✅Develop their own action plans for implementation

✅Strengthen their capacity to build and manage partnerships with industries and local businesses

✅Understand their role in helping ALS learners transition into productive and meaningful employment

One of the highlights of the training was the Demo Teaching, where 40 passionate and dedicated ALS demo teachers showcased various topics aligned with WBL and BYOB. These teachers poured their hearts into their presentations, displaying creativity, resourcefulness, and excellence.

Their sessions were evaluated and critiqued by our supportive EPSAs and Master Teachers, giving valuable feedback that will further improve the quality of instruction.

We are honored to have been joined by our Regional ALS Focal Person Maam Maricel Langahid, who attended both the opening and closing programs. Their presence and message reminded us of the crucial role WBL and BYOB play in empowering our ALS learners for life beyond the classroom.

Our CID Chief Maam Alma Cifra, also gave her full support by delivering a heartfelt message to our ALS teachers, emphasizing the significance of practical, real-life learning experiences for our learners.

This training is a big step forward in ensuring that ALS learners are not only educated but also equipped with skills and opportunities for a better future. With WBL and BYOB, we are one step closer to helping them become job-ready, self-reliant, and confident individuals.
