August 14, 2026 - The School Learning Action Cell (SLAC) of Babak Elementary School continues to empower teachers through meaningful professional learning and collaborative research development.✨

The session focused on “How to Craft an Action Research,” facilitated by Ms. Sharmine Cutin-Entera, who guided teachers through the essential steps in developing relevant, practical, and well-structured action research.✨✍🏻

Through the session, teachers were given the opportunity to transform classroom experiences and identified challenges into potential research problems. With the facilitator’s guidance, participants actively worked on crafting their own Research Proposals, applying the concepts and strategies discussed during the training.✨👩‍🏫

The activity highlighted the importance of action research as a powerful tool for improving teaching practices, addressing learners’ needs, and making informed decisions in the classroom.🏫

Indeed, every classroom challenge can become an opportunity for discovery, innovation, and positive change. As our teachers continue to learn and inquire, they also strengthen their commitment to providing better learning experiences for every learner.✨

JULY 30, 2026 – In a heartfelt display of solidarity and public service, the 1st Davao Occidental Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC) – PNP Malita conducted a community outreach activity at Babak Elementary School in Sta. Maria, Davao Occidental, as part of the 31st Police Community Relations Month celebration.👮‍♀️

Guided by this year’s theme: “Sa Bagong Pilipinas, Ugnayang Pulis at Mamamayan: Tapat, Maaasahan, at Nararamdaman ng Bayan,” the activity aimed to strengthen the bond between law enforcers and the community, especially the youth and families they serve. The event was led by 𝙋𝙀𝙈𝙎 𝙍𝙞𝙘𝙠𝙮 𝙂. 𝙂𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙖𝙧𝙙𝙤 and 𝙋𝙎𝙈𝙎 𝙅𝘽 𝙄𝙫𝙮 𝙅𝙖𝙜𝙣𝙖, together with the dedicated 𝙈𝙚𝙣 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙒𝙤𝙢𝙚𝙣 𝙞𝙣 𝙐𝙣𝙞𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙢 𝙤𝙛 𝙋𝙉𝙋 𝙈𝙖𝙡𝙞𝙩𝙖. They were joined by local officials headed by Barangay Captain Lemuria Madelo, alongside teachers, parents and students of Babak Elementary School.🏫

The outreach delivered a full range of assistance tailored to the needs of the school community:

✅ 𝙎𝙘𝙝𝙤𝙤𝙡 𝙎𝙪𝙥𝙥𝙡𝙞𝙚𝙨 𝘿𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙞𝙗𝙪𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 – Seventy-six learners received essential school materials to help support their studies and ease the burden on their families.
✅ 𝙎𝙣𝙖𝙘𝙠 𝙇𝙤𝙤𝙩 𝘽𝙖𝙜𝙨 – Every student went home with packed snacks for their nourishment.
✅ 𝙁𝙤𝙤𝙙 𝙋𝙖𝙘𝙠𝙨 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙋𝙖𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙨 – Food packages were given to all parents in attendance as a gesture of appreciation for their continued partnership with the police force.
✅ 𝙁𝙚𝙚𝙙𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙋𝙧𝙤𝙜𝙧𝙖𝙢 – A hot, nutritious meal of Arroz Caldo was served to all attendees.
✅ 𝙁𝙧𝙚𝙚 𝙃𝙖𝙞𝙧𝙘𝙪𝙩 𝙎𝙚𝙧𝙫𝙞𝙘𝙚𝙨 – Students enjoyed free haircuts, helping them look neat and prepared for school.

Throughout the activity, in his message, PEMS Gallardo emphasized that the event is more than just giving aid—it is about building trust . “𝙊𝙪𝙧 𝙥𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚 𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙚 𝙩𝙤𝙙𝙖𝙮 𝙨𝙝𝙤𝙬𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙬𝙚 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙣𝙤𝙩 𝙟𝙪𝙨𝙩 𝙚𝙣𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙘𝙚𝙧𝙨 𝙤𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙡𝙖𝙬; 𝙬𝙚 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙥𝙖𝙧𝙩𝙣𝙚𝙧𝙨 𝙞𝙣 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙙𝙖𝙞𝙡𝙮 𝙡𝙞𝙫𝙚𝙨. 𝙒𝙚 𝙬𝙖𝙣𝙩 𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙘𝙝𝙞𝙡𝙙𝙧𝙚𝙣 𝙩𝙤 𝙜𝙧𝙤𝙬 𝙪𝙥 𝙠𝙣𝙤𝙬𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙥𝙤𝙡𝙞𝙘𝙚 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙞𝙧 𝙛𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙙𝙨, 𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙩𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙤𝙧𝙨, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙞𝙚𝙨 𝙞𝙣 𝙗𝙪𝙞𝙡𝙙𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙖 𝙗𝙚𝙩𝙩𝙚𝙧 𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙢𝙪𝙣𝙞𝙩𝙮,” he said.

The School Head of Babak ES ma’am Rowena M. Cernal expressed her gratitude to the PNP Malita team, noting that the activity brings much-needed relief and inspiration to the community. “This is a beautiful example of unity. When our police force and our people work hand-in-hand, no challenge is too big to overcome,” she added.

For the parents and students of Babak Elementary School, the celebration was a meaningful reminder that public service is most powerful when it is felt, seen, and shared—one act of kindness at a time.
