Paulo Coelho once opined that “if you’re brave enough to say goodbye, life will reward you with a new hello.”
For years, I have served in the Department of Education as a teacher, a school principal, and a cluster head. I have acquired wisdom, valuable knowledge, and insights which I have had the precious honour and privilege to impart to you, my colleagues, as well as my students.
At the same time, I can gain meaningful experiences and connections with all kinds of people, especially with my colleagues, whom I have always considered to be my family.
I am beyond ecstatic about the many blessings and opportunities for growth which I have received during my tenure at the Department of Education. I will forever cherish all those lifelong lessons which I have acquired, and teach the same.
As I transition to a different career path, let me manifest once more how glad I am to have learned, worked, struggled, and triumphed with all of you, in our journey towards ensuring that access to quality education, indeed, is truly given for all Filipino learners. May you all continue to excel, insire, educate, learn, and be more successful in all your endeavours in life.
I am closing this chapter as your Cluster Head, with a heart of gratitude. This is not goodbye, rather, this is my way of saying, “Until next time. See you around!”
