Para sa mga mag-aaral na biglang naantala ang buhay dahil sa sakit o kahirapan, ang Alternative Learning System (ALS) ay nagsisilbing isang mahalagang kanlungan kung saan muling binubuo ang mga pangarap.

Isa na rito ang dating ALS student na si Aldwin Balintec na minsan nang pinatagil ng karamdaman, ngunit ngayon ay isa nang mobile teacher na determinado sa pagsagip sa iba mula sa anino ng kawalan ng edukasyon na minsan din niyang pinagdaanan.

A son, a brother, and a father—meet 𝑻𝒂𝒕𝒂𝒚 𝑴𝒂𝒓𝒊𝒐 𝑮. 𝑩𝒓𝒖𝒏𝒐, 𝟔𝟕 years old, from Grade 12 Honesty, and a barangay worker. He proves that 𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐢𝐬 𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐚 𝐧𝐮𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 through determination and compassion. While others rest and complain about their lives, Tatay acts and serves.

Despite his age, Tatay Mario continues to dream—to finish his SHS journey with General Academic Strand (GAS). As a barangay worker, Tatay’s courage is such an inspiration for every 𝐁𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐠 𝐀𝐥𝐞𝐣𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐫𝐚 that it’s never too late to grow, to learn, to serve, and to finish with a heart full of purpose.

Para sa ating mga ALS teachers,
maraming salamat sa inyong walang sawang paggabay, tiyaga, at pagmamalasakit, mula sa simula ng paghahanda hanggang sa mismong araw ng A&E exam. Kayo ang naging sandigan at inspirasyon ng ating mga learners.
