The Alpha Phi Omega ng Davao City Alumni Association joins our Muslim brothers and sisters in celebrating Amun Jadid 2026, the Islamic New Year and the beginning of the blessed month of Muharram. This sacred occasion marks not only the start of a new year in the Islamic calendar but also a meaningful opportunity for reflection, gratitude, spiritual renewal, and a renewed commitment to living a life guided by faith, compassion, and righteousness.

As the pages of another year unfold, Amun Jadid reminds us that every new beginning carries with it the promise of growth, transformation, and hope. It is a time to look back with gratitude for the blessings received, to learn from the challenges overcome, and to move forward with a stronger sense of purpose and determination. Through prayers, reflection, and thanksgiving, this significant observance encourages individuals and communities to renew their commitment to peace, understanding, and service to humanity.

As members of Alpha Phi Omega, an organization founded upon the enduring principles of Leadership, Friendship, and Service, we recognize the profound values embodied by Amun Jadid. The spirit of renewal encourages us to become better leaders who inspire positive change, better friends who build bridges of understanding and respect, and better servants who dedicate themselves to uplifting others. In a world often challenged by division and uncertainty, occasions such as this remind us of the importance of unity, mutual respect, and the shared humanity that binds us all together.

The celebration of Amun Jadid is also a beautiful reminder of the rich cultural and religious diversity that strengthens our nation. The Philippines stands proud as a country where different faiths, traditions, and communities can coexist in harmony, fostering a society rooted in respect, inclusion, and understanding. By embracing and honoring one another's traditions, we strengthen the bonds of brotherhood and sisterhood that are essential in building a more peaceful and compassionate society.

On this blessed occasion, may the coming year bring abundant blessings, renewed faith, inner peace, good health, prosperity, and happiness to all. May it inspire hearts to choose kindness over indifference, understanding over prejudice, and service over self-interest. May every challenge become an opportunity for growth, every setback become a lesson in resilience, and every success become a chance to uplift others.

The Alpha Phi Omega ng Davao City Alumni Association extends its warmest greetings and heartfelt wishes to all who are celebrating Amun Jadid 2026. May this Islamic New Year serve as a beacon of hope, guiding us toward a future filled with compassion, unity, and meaningful service to our communities. Together, let us welcome this new chapter with grateful hearts, renewed spirits, and an unwavering commitment to making a positive difference in the lives of others.

Amun Jadid Mubarak! ๐ŸŒ™๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’›

May this New Year be filled with peace, blessings, wisdom, and countless opportunities to serve humanity and strengthen the bonds of brotherhood and sisterhood among all people.

The Alpha Phi Omega ng Davao City Alumni Association (ANDAA) proudly celebrates the success of the National Tree Planting Activity 2026 held on June 13, 2026, at the Aboitiz Cleanergy Park, Matina Aplaya, Talomo District, Davao City. Through the leadership of Bro. Atty. Prince Arthur Neyra, Regional Director for Alumni, Davao Administrative Region, and Sis. Chinky Rodriguez, President of the Alpha Phi Omega ng Davao City Alumni Association (ANDAA), alumni members joined hands with collegiate volunteers from various Alpha Phi Omega Chapters in a meaningful day dedicated to environmental conservation, community engagement, and selfless service.

The day began with an informative and eye-opening lecture conducted by the dedicated staff of Aboitiz Cleanergy Park, who shared valuable knowledge about sea turtles, their importance in maintaining healthy marine ecosystems, the challenges they face, and the actions that individuals and communities can take to help ensure their survival. The lecture served as a powerful reminder that environmental protection begins with awareness and education. Participants gained a deeper appreciation for the interconnectedness of marine life, coastal ecosystems, and human communities, inspiring everyone to become active advocates for conservation.

Following the educational session, participants proceeded with the mangrove tree planting activity and coastal cleanup drive. With shovels in hand and hearts committed to service, volunteers planted mangrove seedlings that will one day help strengthen coastlines, protect communities from erosion and storm surges, provide habitats for marine species, and contribute to the fight against climate change. At the same time, volunteers worked diligently to remove waste and debris from the coastal area, helping create a cleaner and safer environment for both wildlife and local residents. Every seedling planted and every piece of trash collected represented a collective commitment to preserving the beauty and sustainability of our natural environment.

However, the spirit of service did not end there.

After the successful environmental activities, the Alpha Phi Omega ng Davao City Alumni Association (ANDAA) extended its service to the community by conducting a feeding program for the residents within the area. This heartfelt initiative reflected the true essence of Alpha Phi Omega's commitment to serving humanity. Volunteers prepared and distributed meals with warmth, compassion, and genuine concern for the well-being of the community. Smiles, laughter, and expressions of gratitude filled the gathering as residents and volunteers shared a moment of fellowship and unity.

The feeding program perfectly complemented the day's environmental efforts by demonstrating that service encompasses both caring for nature and caring for people. While the mangroves we planted will nourish future generations through environmental protection, the meals shared during the feeding program provided immediate comfort and support to members of the community. Together, these activities embodied the holistic spirit of service that Alpha Phi Omega has championed for generations.

What made this day truly extraordinary was the unity displayed by alumni and collegiate volunteers alike. Brothers and Sisters from different chapters came together as one family, proving that when individuals are guided by the principles of Leadership, Friendship, and Service, they can create meaningful and lasting impact. The activity became more than just a community projectโ€”it became a living testament to the values that define Alpha Phi Omega and the positive difference that can be achieved through collective action.

The Alpha Phi Omega ng Davao City Alumni Association (ANDAA) extends its deepest gratitude to the Aboitiz Cleanergy Park staff, participating alumni, collegiate volunteers, partner chapters, community members, and all supporters who contributed to the success of this remarkable undertaking. Your dedication, generosity, and willingness to serve transformed this activity into a powerful expression of environmental stewardship, community solidarity, and compassionate service.

As we reflect on this meaningful day, we are reminded that true service is not measured solely by the number of trees planted, the amount of waste collected, or the meals distributed. It is measured by the lives touched, the awareness raised, the hope inspired, and the legacy created. The mangroves we planted will grow stronger with time. The lessons learned about sea turtle conservation will continue to inspire environmental responsibility. The meals shared with the community will remain as reminders of compassion and kindness. Together, these efforts contribute to a brighter future for both people and the planet.

Today, we planted more than trees. We planted hope. We shared more than meals. We shared compassion. We did more than perform an activity. We strengthened a community and fulfilled our commitment to serve.

Today, as we proudly commemorate the 128th Independence Day of the Republic of the Philippines, we honor the extraordinary courage, unwavering patriotism, and profound sacrifices of the Filipino heroes who dared to dream of a nation free from oppression and united in dignity, hope, and self-determination. Their bravery ignited the flame of freedom that continues to burn brightly in the hearts of every Filipino, reminding us that independence was not merely won through battles fought in the past, but is continuously preserved through our commitment to nation-building, responsible citizenship, and service to our fellow countrymen.

As members of the Alpha Phi Omega ng Davao City Alumni Association, we stand in solidarity with the entire nation in celebrating this historic milestone. This day serves as a powerful reminder that true patriotism extends far beyond words and ceremoniesโ€”it is reflected in our everyday actions, our willingness to help those in need, our dedication to uplifting our communities, and our determination to become instruments of positive change. The freedoms we enjoy today were purchased at a great cost, and it is our collective responsibility to honor that legacy by becoming active contributors to the progress, unity, and development of our beloved country.

The spirit of Philippine independence resonates deeply with the timeless principles of Leadership, Friendship, and Service, the pillars that guide every Alpha Phi Omega member. Through servant leadership, genuine brotherhood and sisterhood, and selfless service, we continue the noble work of building stronger communities and inspiring future generations to embrace the values that define our nation. Every act of kindness, every volunteer effort, every community project, and every hand extended to those in need becomes a living testament to the freedom our heroes fought to achieve.

On this meaningful occasion, let us also reflect on the challenges that our nation continues to face and recognize that the strength of the Philippines lies not only in its rich history but also in the resilience, compassion, and unity of its people. May this Independence Day inspire all Filipinos to rise above differences, work together for the common good, and reaffirm our shared commitment to creating a brighter, more inclusive, and more prosperous future for generations to come.

As we celebrate 128 years of Philippine independence, may the courage of our heroes continue to inspire our actions, may the love of country continue to guide our decisions, and may the spirit of service continue to strengthen our communities. Let us move forward with pride in our heritage, confidence in our potential, and faith in our collective ability to shape a nation worthy of the sacrifices made by those who came before us.

From the Alpha Phi Omega ng Davao City Alumni Association, we extend our warmest greetings to all Filipinos around the world. May this day rekindle our love for our country, deepen our commitment to service, and remind us that the future of the Philippines rests in the hands of citizens who are willing to lead with integrity, serve with compassion, and work together in the spirit of genuine nationhood.

On May 29, 2026, the brothers and sisters of Alpha Phi Omega ng Davao City Alumni Association in partnership with APO Epsilon Upsilon Chapter and Alumni Association, proudly conducted a Feeding Program and Free Ice Cream Service at Guadalupe, Matina Crossing, Davao City, bringing smiles, nourishment, hope, and happiness to the children and families of the community as part of the celebration of Flores De Mayo 2026.

This meaningful activity was more than just the distribution of food and ice creamโ€”it was a living expression of Alpha Phi Omegaโ€™s enduring commitment to Leadership, Friendship, and Service. Through every meal served and every ice cream shared, our volunteers demonstrated that genuine service comes from a heart willing to uplift others without expecting anything in return. The laughter of children, the gratitude of parents, and the warmth of community fellowship transformed an ordinary day into a beautiful reminder that small acts of kindness can create lasting impacts in the lives of many.

As we gathered with the community, we witnessed firsthand the power of unity and compassion. Every volunteer who dedicated their time, effort, and resources became part of a larger missionโ€”to make people feel valued, remembered, and cared for. The joy reflected in the faces of the beneficiaries served as a powerful testament that service is not merely an activity; it is a responsibility and a privilege. It is through these moments that we continue to strengthen the bonds that connect us as one community and inspire others to become instruments of positive change.

Alpha Phi Omega believes that true leadership is found in service, true friendship is strengthened through shared purpose, and true success is measured by the lives we touch. This outreach activity exemplified these principles as brothers, sisters, community members, and supporters came together with one goal: to spread hope, kindness, and happiness to those around us. Every smile received became a reward greater than any recognition, and every heart touched became a reminder of why we continue to answer the call to serve.

We extend our deepest gratitude to all volunteers, donors, sponsors, community leaders, residents, and everyone who contributed to the success of this meaningful endeavor. Your generosity and unwavering support made it possible for us to transform compassion into action and create unforgettable memories for the children and families of Guadalupe, Matina Crossing. Because of your dedication, this activity became a shining example of what can be achieved when people unite for a noble cause.

As we move forward, Alpha Phi Omega remains steadfast in its mission of building stronger communities through selfless service. May the spirit of Flores De Mayo continue to inspire us to share our blessings, extend our helping hands, and become beacons of hope wherever we are called to serve. Together, we can continue creating a future where kindness flourishes, communities thrive, and no one is left behind.

On June 1, 2026, the spirit of selfless service came alive at Mainit Elementary School, Mainit, Nabunturan, Davao de Oro, as Alpha Phi Omega ng Davao City Alumni Association (ANDAA), Alpha Phi Omega - Lambda Nu Alumni Association, Alpha Phi Omega - Epsilon Upsilon Chapter in partnership with the APO Nabunturan Alumni Association, successfully conducted the Brigada Eskwela 2026: Operation Tuli, Medical and Dental Missionโ€”a meaningful undertaking dedicated to promoting health, wellness, and hope within the community.

This activity was more than a mission; it was a living testament to the enduring ideals of Leadership, Friendship, and Service, the three pillars upon which Alpha Phi Omega proudly stands. Through the collective efforts of dedicated APO brothers, alumni volunteers, healthcare professionals, and community partners, hundreds of children and residents were given access to essential medical and dental services, while young boys were provided safe and professional circumcision procedures as part of the Operation Tuli program. Every consultation, every treatment, every smile restored, and every hand extended in compassion became a reminder that genuine service has the power to transform lives.

Behind every successful mission are countless stories of sacrifice and commitment. Long hours of preparation, coordination, and volunteer work were fueled by one common goalโ€”to make a positive difference in the lives of those who need it most. The event brought together individuals from different walks of life, united by a shared belief that every child deserves a healthier future, every family deserves access to care, and every community deserves opportunities to thrive. The grateful smiles of the beneficiaries, the heartfelt words of appreciation from parents, and the renewed sense of hope among residents served as powerful reminders that even the simplest acts of kindness can create lasting impacts.

As part of the nationwide spirit of Brigada Eskwela, this initiative also highlighted the importance of community involvement in preparing schools and students for a brighter future. Healthy learners become empowered learners, and empowered learners become future leaders who can contribute positively to society. By investing in the health and well-being of the youth, Alpha Phi Omega and its partners continue to strengthen the foundation upon which stronger communities are built.

This successful endeavor reflects the unwavering commitment of Alpha Phi Omega to remain at the forefront of community service and humanitarian action. It demonstrates that the Fraternity and Sorority's mission extends far beyond wordsโ€”it is expressed through meaningful action, compassionate outreach, and a genuine desire to uplift others. Every volunteer who shared their time, expertise, resources, and energy became a shining example of what it means to live a life dedicated to service.

We extend our deepest gratitude to the APO Nabunturan Alumni Association, the medical and dental teams, local officials, school administrators, volunteers, donors, and everyone who contributed to the success of this noble cause. Your dedication made this mission possible and your generosity touched countless lives. Together, we proved that when hearts are united by a common purpose, no challenge is too great and no community is beyond reach.

As we look back on this meaningful day, we celebrate not only a successful activity but also the lives touched, the hope restored, and the bonds strengthened through service. May this mission continue to inspire others to step forward, lend a helping hand, and become instruments of positive change in their own communities.

Alpha Phi Omega continues to prove that service is not merely an activityโ€”it is a way of life. Through Leadership, Friendship, and Service, we build healthier communities, empower future generations, and create a legacy of compassion that will continue to inspire for years to come.

More than a medical and community service activity, the event became a living reflection of Alpha Phi Omegaโ€™s timeless principles of Leadership, Friendship, and Service. Through unity, volunteerism, and sincere concern for the welfare of the community, smiles replaced fear, laughter filled the surroundings, and hearts were touched by the simple yet powerful act of giving.

Happy Motherโ€™s Day to the women whose love became our first home, whose sacrifices became the foundation of our dreams, and whose strength carried us through lifeโ€™s hardest storms. A motherโ€™s heart is one of the purest miracles in this worldโ€”loving without limits, giving without asking, and standing strong even when exhausted and unappreciated. Behind every successful child is a mother who prayed silently, fought battles no one saw, and chose her family every single day. Today, we celebrate not only mothers by blood, but every woman who nurtures, guides, protects, and loves with sincerity. To all mothers around the world: thank you for your endless patience, your sleepless nights, your warm embraces, and your unwavering faith in us. You are the living definition of courage, compassion, and unconditional love. May your hearts be filled with the same joy and love you have selflessly given to others. Happy Motherโ€™s Day to the real queens, heroes, and angels of our lives.

30/04/2026

Today, we honor the beating heart of our nationโ€”the Filipino worker. This Labor Day is not just a date on the calendar; it is a powerful tribute to every calloused hand, every sleepless night, every sacrifice made in silence so that families may rise, communities may thrive, and the Philippines may stand strong. From the farmers who nurture the land under the scorching sun, to the fishermen who brave the restless seas before dawn; from the construction workers who build our cities brick by brick, to the teachers who shape minds and futures; from the healthcare heroes who heal with compassion, to the overseas Filipino workers who carry the weight of distance and longing just to provide a better lifeโ€”each story is a testament to resilience, dignity, and unwavering hope.

Labor Day reminds us that behind every progress we celebrate is a worker who refused to give up, who chose to persevere despite hardship, and who believed that honest work is a noble act of love for country and family. It calls us not only to celebrate but to reflectโ€”on the value of fair wages, safe working conditions, and the respect every worker rightfully deserves. Because true progress is not measured by how high we build, but by how well we uplift those who build it.

Let this day ignite a deeper sense of gratitude and responsibility within usโ€”to honor labor not only with words, but with actions that protect, empower, and uplift every Filipino worker. May we continue to build a nation where no effort is unseen, no sacrifice is forgotten, and no worker is left behind. Mabuhay ang manggagawang Pilipinoโ€”ang tunay na lakas, dangal, at puso ng ating bayan.
