Though held a little later than scheduled, Corcuerians joyfully marked the culmination of Reading Month with a colorful parade of book characters on December 11 and 12 at the school gymnasium.

The venue came alive as it transformed into โ€œStorylandia,โ€ with learners and teachers donning costumes inspired by their favorite storybook characters.

In her opening remarks, Maโ€™am Myra Bulan, the School Reading Coordinator, highlighted the vital role of reading in education. โ€œReading is a basic tool for learning. It opens doors to new opportunities, brings positive change, and improves lives. Learn to love books and make reading a habit,โ€ she emphasized.

Beyond the vibrant costume display, learners also demonstrated their English proficiency through Storytelling and Readers Theater performances, showcasing both creativity and confidence.

Maโ€™am Bulan expressed her gratitude to the VFCES teachers, parents, learners, and the school leadership under School Administrator Sir Michael B. Escartin for their support throughout the Reading Month celebration.

The event concluded with the announcement of the Best Book Character Costume awards for male and female learners, marking a fitting end to a celebration that truly brought stories to life.

This significant collaboration came at a meaningful time, coinciding with the celebration of๐—ก๐—ฎ๐˜๐—ถ๐—ผ๐—ป๐—ฎ๐—น ๐—–๐—ต๐—ถ๐—น๐—ฑ๐—ฟ๐—ฒ๐—ปโ€™๐˜€ ๐— ๐—ผ๐—ป๐˜๐—ต ๐Ÿฎ๐Ÿฌ๐Ÿฎ๐Ÿฑ, a nationwide call to uphold the protection, empowerment, and holistic development of every Filipino child.

The partnership reinforces this yearโ€™s commitment to safeguarding childrenโ€™s rights and strengthening community support systems for their well-being.

At the start of the program, the VFCES Supreme Elementary Learner Government (SELG), together with COMEA Officials Jackielyn O. Maybuena, Vanessa Lyn Richa, Rowel Eleazar, and YES-O Coordinator Cherry T. Cubian, formally welcomed the RMFB 11 personnel. SELG Adviser Sharaigne M. Chaiyara presided over the program as master of ceremonies. This was followed by the opening remarks of Merian A. Putian, Master Teacher I, who expressed appreciation to RMFB 11 for selecting VFCES as the pilot school for this pioneering partnership.

The program then proceeded with the ceremonial signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), led by

The signing formalized the shared commitment to uplifting learner development, promoting child protection, and strengthening school and community collaboration.

During his message, PCOL Fajardo Jr. emphasized the unitโ€™s commitment to defending childrenโ€™s rights and the collective mission to eradicate Online Sexual Abuse and Exploitation of Children (OSAEC) and Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation Materials (CSAEM).

In line with the theme of the 33rd National Childrenโ€™s Month, he underscored the responsibility of every sector to ensure that children grow up protected, supported, and empowered.

Moving forward with the advocacy, RMFB 11 conducted a series of child-centered learning sessions.

PAT Glen Ryan D. Tropico delivered โ€œCyber Safe Kids,โ€ a lecture aimed at helping learners navigate the digital world safely and responsibly.

The Regional Medical and Dental Unit, headed by PCPT Janice Mae B. Albaran, also facilitated health lectures on Proper Handwashing, Dengue Awareness, and Oral Health, reinforcing essential practices that promote everyday safety and hygiene among Corcuerian learners.

Adding to the excitement, the introduction of the RMFB mascot, PCOL HEART, became one of the most memorable moments of the event.

Learners filled the venue with laughter and enthusiasm as they danced and interacted with their new mascot friend.

To further enhance the sessions, RMFB 11 incorporated trivia games, awarded Project H.E.A.R.T. shirts as prizes, and distributed free snacks, creating an educational and enjoyable experience for the learners.

Overall, this historic partnership between VFCES and RMFB 11 represents a strong collaboration dedicated to nurturing responsible, informed, and confident young learners.

Through Project H.E.A.R.T., VFCES continues to champion initiatives that place children at the forefront, uplift their voices, protect their rights, and equip them with values that help them become active contributors to a safer and more compassionate community.

Corcuera Elementary School as the Supreme Elementary Learner Government (SELG) partnered with VOLGA Oil, represented by Maโ€™am Leah P. Ma, to bring essential support to Corcuerian learners

Launched in line with the schoolโ€™s National Childrenโ€™s Month activities, the initiative aimed to uplift students through practical assistance and meaningful engagement.

To address the daily needs of young learners, Project Y.A.P.A.K. focused on providing practical support that students can use throughout the school year.

Learners from Grades 1 to 6 received new slippers to serve as additional footwear on their way to and from school, especially during days of unpredictable weather.

This simple yet impactful form of assistance aims to ease the challenges faced by students who travel long distances just to attend classes. The distribution activity brought visible joy to the recipients, who accepted the slippers with warm smiles and grateful hearts.

Their reactions highlighted how even small gestures can make a significant difference in a childโ€™s daily school experience.

VOLGA Oil, a consistent and dependable partner of VFCES, continues to show unwavering support for school-based initiatives. The companyโ€™s participation in Project Y.A.P.A.K. reflects its dedication to helping create a nurturing and supportive learning environment for children.

Beyond the benefits extended to the learners, the project provided SELG officers with an opportunity to put leadership into action. By organizing and facilitating the activity, student leaders were able to strengthen their sense of responsibility, empathy, and commitment to serving others. These experiences contribute to shaping them into well-rounded and compassionate leaders within their school community.

Reflecting on the projectโ€™s success, SELG Adviser Sharaigne M. Chaiyara emphasized the role of service in developing young leaders.
She shared: โ€œService is at the heart of what we do for our children. This activity is definitely one for the books for SELG this year, as this gives them an opportunity to develop leadership skills by serving first other people.โ€

Project Y.A.P.A.K. stands as a meaningful reminder of how partnerships, compassion, and student leadership can create hopeful and lasting impact.

With every step taken by each learner, the project continues to embody its message of possibility, care, and hope for the future.

In a meaningful celebration of unity, gratitude, and joy, the Corcuerian community came together to culminate the National Teachersโ€™ Month 2025 with a grand program on October 3, 2025.

Guided by the national theme โ€œTogether4Teachers,โ€ the celebration honored the unwavering dedication, passion, and commitment of teachers โ€” the heart and soul of every learnerโ€™s journey.

The celebration officially opened on September 5, 2025, marking the start of a month filled with camaraderie, laughter, and friendly competition.
Every week of September brought a series of exciting activities designed to test endurance, wit, and teamwork among the teachers.

Grouped into four spirited teams โ€” ๐˜ฝ๐™ก๐™ช๐™š ๐™‹๐™–๐™ฌ๐™ž๐™ ๐™–๐™ฃ, ๐™๐™š๐™™ ๐˜ฝ๐™ž๐™ฃ๐™ฉ๐™ช๐™ง๐™ค๐™ฃ๐™œ, ๐™‚๐™ง๐™š๐™š๐™ฃ ๐˜ผ๐™œ๐™ž๐™ก๐™–, ๐™–๐™ฃ๐™™ ๐™”๐™š๐™ก๐™ก๐™ค๐™ฌ ๐™๐™–๐™ข๐™–๐™ง๐™–๐™ฌ โ€” the teachers eagerly joined various games such as Human Tic-Tac-Toe, Giant Volleyball, Yoga Ball Relay, Family Feud, and Pictogram Challenge.

These events not only sparked excitement but also strengthened the bonds of friendship and unity among the Corcuerian educators.
