ANNOUNCEMENT | Solemnity of Sts. Peter and Paul | Special University Holiday

The Solemnity of Sts. Peter and Paul falls on Monday, the 29th of June 2026. The Church honors the two great apostles together on this day: Peter, the rock on whom Christ built the Church, and Paul, whose missionary labors shaped the early Christian communities. As the Patron of the Metropolitan Cathedral of Davao, this solemnity holds particular significance for our local Church and our City.

In observance of this feast, Monday, the 29th of June 2026, will be a special University holiday. There will be no classes on all levels and all University offices will be closed. Regular operations resume on Tuesday, the 30th of June 2026.

As a Jesuit university, we hold the witness of these two apostles close to our own mission. Let us mark the day not only as a respite from work but as an occasion for prayer, asking the intercession of Sts. Peter and Paul for the local Church of Davao, for our City, and for the whole University community.
